This is not a counter spell deck. It's a deck designed around the use of counters either to represent created creatures or to keep track of the power and toughness of other creatures. When it works, the deck is designed to create 1/1 or 0/1 creatures to pump up the Keldon Warlords and Maraxus of Keld. Direct damage cards help aid in the process by forcing Spiny Starfish to regenerate.
This is my first and only attempt at using three colors in one deck. Sometimes it can be difficult getting out the right mana to cast spells. Higher casting cost cards, or those requiring high cost to use abilities, can become tougher to use when some mana producing cards are no longer on the table.
This deck could use a revision and perhaps I'll into doing that. Apparently I'm one short of 60 cards, so there's that.
