The deck:
This is a dimir zombie tribal deck. Zombies are extremely synergistic with each other, but specially with the commander of this deck, The Scarab God. Your strategy is simple: use your growing army of relentless putrid maws to maul your opponents. Cards like Endless Ranks of the Dead will lead to your victory unless answered, while the sheer amount of powerful lords you have will turn your zombies from 2/2's to 5/5's or 6/6's in most cases. Boardwipes mean nothing to us thanks to cards like Balthor the Defiled and our own commander, and can even be painful with zombies in play like Plague Belcher.
Why is The Scarab God the commander?
As the leader of the zombies during the Hour of Eternity it is a flavour win, and all his abilities are extremely useful and relevant. The first two will drain your oponents to death and provide card selection, and the reanimator ability is just the icing on the cake, allowing us to recur particular useful zombies or steal useful creatures from our enemies's graveyards. His last ability prevents commander tax completely, so we can rest assured he will always be affordable.
The deck's weaknesses:
To reach a critic mass of zombies we will take some time, so extremely fast decks will hinder our plans, beware when facing them. Flying creatures are also somewhat difficult for our zombies to block, so dragon decks can also be a problem. When fighting a deck with a lot of flyiers try to be on the offensive so your opponent holds the flyiers as defense, or get answers like Eternal Skylord or Wonder
The deck's strenghts:
We can recover extremely fast from boardwipes, and the commander is a very powerful engine, providing us with a powerful mana sink to use when we no longer have a hand or decide to keep it, and being an overall beefy creature. The amount of zombies we can create is insane, so out lords do actually more work here than most other tribes.
