I'm rewriting this description, as no deck is ever truly finished. There are a couple of cards from Strixhaven that I wanted/needed in this deck. First was Blex, Vexing Pest // Search for Blex. I'm going to be honest here, this card is in the deck for the value of the backside, with the bonus of gaining a decent creature to reanimate after casting it. I don't foresee myself casting Blex that often, maybe after a big Izoni play for the buff? But that Search for Blex though, that is an effect I want in this deck. Digging 5 deep, picking and paying for anything you want in hand, and letting the rest fall to the grave? This card is bonkers, and had it been just mono-black it would have broken so many things. You don't even have to reveal what's going into your hand!
The second card I added was Daemogoth Woe-Eater. This deck has had some problems setting up Birthing Pod lines, specifically at the 4 CMC range. This is a value creature that fits the slot exceedingly well. The "downside" of this isn't a downside in this deck, at worst you sac it to it's own ability and get it's death triggers which include draw. At best, it is an incredibly under costed power house creature with a sac outlet.
The third card I added was Rushed Rebirth. It turns any creature dying into a mini-Protean Hulk for you. This is insanely powerful, and absolutely abusable in this deck and many others. The first time I read this card, I thought it could only target your own stuff. Turns out, no you can target any creature. Someone board wipe? Rushed Rebirth whatever has the highest CMC. Someone blow up your creature? Get value off it. You want to sac a creature after it's served it's purpose? Get extra value. Someone blow up your commander? Rushed rebirth it into a E-Wit to get her back into hand and avoid Commander Tax. This card is GOOD.
