This one is my 11th EDH deck, born out of the idea of converting all my Legacy and Modern decks into Commander builds. This one is the conversion of the Dreams of Angels deck.
The original Legacy deck already had lots of legendary angels and any of them could be the commander of this deck, but none of them really cared about Angel tribal. Lyra Dawnbringer could be an answer... but New Capenna provided me with the commander I needed. Cheap and menacing, lady Giada, Font of Hope was the perfect leader for my angelic horde.
The way this deck should perform should be somewhat straight-forward. Early in the game we care about ramping while we can, draw some cards and keep threats at bay. Enchantments like Prison Realm, Seal Away and Pacifism shuts down hostile creatures while Generous Gift and Stroke of Midnight gets rid of other potential threats. Featuring a minor Spirit theme, creatures like Keening Apparition, Ghostblade Eidolon and Hopeful Eidolon should hit the board first. And at this rate either Quicksilver Amulet or Belbe's Portal should hit the board, which allow to drop massive angels onto the battlefield for various spicy effects.
Our white-winged army do different things once in play. Angel of Serenity removes threats on board or in graveyards, Angelic Skirmisher allows some combat shenanigans, Angel of Flight Alabaster can return Spirits to our hand having Karmic Guide as her main target, and Sunblast Angel acts as a out-of-nowhere board-wipe.
As for the heavy legendaries I mentioned earlier, the most prominent are the massive-drop Akroma, Angel of Wrath which is very difficult to deal with, and mighty Avacyn, Angel of Hope that makes all our board even harder to deal with.
I have yet to test this deck in multiplayer. I am aware of how slow the deck is, but once it develops it can turn games upside down. At least that's what I hope for.
