Most people hate counterspells. A lot of people don't like Planeswalkers. Most other people tend to not like creatures so much, hence why so many of them use boardwipes.

Me? I hate lands.

This is a land destruction deck, the most hated mechanic in Magic. It's a damn shame that Keranos, God of Storms can't use Armageddon, but I'll manage. The goal of this deck is to hate on player's land bases. The more fetch-lands they have, the better! This deck especially hates on expensive land bases by using Blood Moon, Magus of the Moon, Ruination, Back to Basics, and Blood Sun. Even then, Wildfire, Decree of Annihilation, and Impending Disaster ensure that even basic lands feel the heat.

Try to get Keranos out before the land destruction begins. Keranos is a really hard commander to kill (indestructible enchantment), and his Lightning Bolts make sure that your opponent's won't be able to easily recover. Then you can win in one of two ways.

  1. Damage. Slowly kill everyone with Keranos's bolts. You could also try to get your devotion up to make him a creature, but then he becomes susceptible to other kinds of removal. Planeswalkers will also help.

  2. Isochron Scepter combo. There are two ways of going about this. Option 1: you can imprint Dramatic Reversal to make infinite mana (you will also need artifacts that tap for at least three mana), then cast whatever you want (Capsize for infinite bounce works best). Option 2: pair the Scepter with Paradox Engine and artifacts that tap for two mana (or more) to get infinite casts off of Isochron Scepter. Lightning Bolt to deal infinite damage, Boomerang to hard-lock all opponents with continual bounce, or Arcane Denial to counter everything.
