To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Most Tortured Existence Decks play like a grindy late game control deck. This one really, really doesn't. This deck plays like an aristocrats deck, that uses tortured existence as a late game option to help close out games that take too long. It's oriented a bit more towards midrange aggro, and has some control features, but the overall goal is to stick a mortician beetle or two, and ride them to victory alongside rancor.
The sideboard gives you different tools to disrupt different opponents gameplans.
The 2 copies of spore frog and 2 copies of plague rusalka are good for when you are playing against more creature oriented aggro decks like stompy, red deck wins, or heroic.
Caustic Caterpillar loves affinity and certain graveyard hating artifacts like, a lot.
Faerie Macabre can block pretty well in the air, and faeries have a hard time stopping it from hitting the board. It also pulls double duty making Ghostly Flicker decks play a bit more of a fair endgame.
