This deck is from our new podcast: Mull to 3, Episode 1 'Gods and Bans' (3rd of May 2017)
As the best card in the new 5 god cycle, this deck leverages 'Keffers' synergy with both porphyry nodes and culling scales to create an explosive control deck that is destined to change the face of modern forever.
Seriously though this is a blue/white control deck that runs Kefnet as the primary win condition with a secondary option in Celestial Colonnade. It attempts to set up the synergy between Kefnet and either porphyry nodes or culling scales to wipe the board of creatures and/or nonland permanents (with path to exile to act as backup) while gaining card advantage and selection from the 8 'visions' cards and protecting itself with deprive and cryptic command (which both synergise well with Kefnet's full hand requirement). The two ghost quarters are to provide some maindeck land removal in case of tron/manlands/combos, and the two reliquary towers are to allow your hand to become immense and let Kefnet attack and block unimpeded.
For those who don't immediately see it, the Kefnet synergy is as follows. When porphyry nodes are in play each upkeep the creature with the lowest power is destroyed. They can't be regenerated and as porphyry nodes doesn't 'target' they also can't avoid this if they are hexproof. When all of the other creatures die, Kefnet remains as he/she is indestructible and each turn the porphyry nodes attempts to kill him. This means that any creature with power 5 or less that isn't indestructible will be killed during your upkeep at a rate of one per turn - pretty efficient! Culling scales has a similar effect except it targets non-land permanents with converted mana cost of 3 or less.
Happy brewing and long live the ibis god!
