NOTE: I found the deck to be a combination of control elements and tempo. I realised it needed to be focused on a single idea, so I split the idea of the deck into two versions, the Tempo version and the Control version. I will upload them soon.

You can find the tempo one, Gruul Reckless Madness, here: https://deckstats.net/decks/89323/1256354--competitive-gruul-madness-cha

I will keep this decklist for future reference.

Edit 2: Updated list with changes in sideboard. Some cards have been removed. Added Vampiric Link for extra removal al survivavility against aggresive decks. Added to maindeck Last Rites in place of two Cathartic Reunion s. Cathartic Reunion is a nice card (and in some ocations better than Faithless Looting since its discard can't be prevented by countering it) but was often flooded by them. Last Rites gives more usability for the deck. Early in the game serves to disrupt the opponent's hand, while we are discarding just our worst cards. Late in the game becomes a powerful madness enabler that can end games by itself.

Big Edit: Updated it with a much more playable version. Still testing it with the Twins of Maurer Estate instead of the wurms but still works very well. Here I leave an updated quick guide.

You may notice this deck does not run a single edict. It's okay: I'll explain it in a moment. It makes sense I promise.

So, this deck has come to be able to stand against everything (haven't yet tested against burn but should work after sideboard). Does great against Angler and Boros Monarch decks, does fair against Affinity and Tron, and can hold against Elves and Stompy pre-sideboard. The worst matchup is Bogles since this is Rakdos deck not running edicts BUT it's winnable post sideboard (and also Bogles are not a great part of the meta at the moment).

So, explanations. Does not run edicts. This is because the removal it runs is so efficient that is not needed in most of the cases. And this also comes with that literally every green deck and a lot of blue deck sideboard cards against edicts. This makes them sideboard wrongly (at least until the realise the deck). I know cards such as Diabolic Edict have double value since you can gain tempo advantage while killing their only creature while they are pulling out that Rancor. But if they got another creature you got to edict twice. Which is the same as playing Duress first, and then the removal. And that is the correct play in this deck.

Academy Raider is our Ninja of the Deep Hours, netting us potentially tons of card advantage with madness and filtering against control.

The madness cards help us keep the temp because of their low cost. They can also be played instant speed with Lightning Axe and Tortured Existence.

Psychotic Episode is awesome since it can take out lands and does not leave the card into the graveyard. It does also fateseal 1 so you can manipulate your opponent's next turn.

Reckless Charge for that surprise reckless hasty angry Gurmag Angler (:.

I believe the rest of the maindeck is self explanatory.

I may switch cards from maindeck to sidedeck and maindeck but this is the shell I've found out for now:

Tortured Existence is self explanatory. Amazing against any form of control (just be careful of graveyard hate, play accordingly). It also the card to side in against Bogles. For that matchup, we want at least one Gorgon Recluse and a Tortured Existence, and another creature. Gorgon Recluse kills any Bogle not having totem armor. You replace the removal for 4 Duress and 4 Existence and this combo shuts them out and after that the Crypt Rats do the rest of the work (they can also be looped with Existence).

Duress is the go to card against control and many aggro decks. I may finish putting them in the maindeck but I'm trying the deck as it is for some more time.

Crypt Rats are well known against token and aggro decks and explained in the Tortured Existence section.

Pillage is both land destruction against tron (don't forget to use your Bojuka Bog after using it to neutralize their Pulse of Murasa) and also support removal against affinity (since we need to save the Dark Withering s for the Atog s). In that matchup, Psychotic Episode and Duress keep Fling away, and the Episode can even remove the Atog, which is very welcome for us.

Gorilla Shaman against Affinity and Flaring Pain against Tron or any other deck playing fogs.

Hope you like the deck and if so please give it a like :D
