Codies table Upheaval (Modern)

Tired of birds dropping their bombs on you? Urza's property scams got you in a bind? Ever have the desire to just grab the table and chuck it out the window of your local Dennys? Look no further, for I have just the thing to give your opponents the cardboard context of the middle finger.

This deck solely revolves around 3 cards: [Codie, vociferous codex], [Upheaval], and [Inscription of Insight].

Codie is the key to the combo for his activated ability, which will be used to cast Upheaval and pull out Inscription of Insight from the deck. When done correctly, by turn 4 or 5 there will be nothing left on the field except for this 10/10 in the shape of a glove to slap your opponent with.

Of course, this isn't magical Christmas land where all your dreams come true. No need to worry, though, I've got contingencies for any possible hiccups.

The deck is filled to the brim with all sorts of countermeasures for any situation in the form of Channel creatures, allowing you to guarantee that the combo hits and bypass Codies restriction at the same time. The caveat is that Channel abilities can only be countered by stifle effects, which you'll rarely see anyways. Even if you can't get the combo going, you still have plenty of creatures that can dive bomb your opponents into submission.
