Sisay (EDH / Commander)

I have played Captain Sisay for a long time in EDH and Paradox Sisay is by far the best version of the deck to date.

The Paradox shell is not my creation, but when I sit down with my local playgroup I need something that can compete. It has been the natural progression of playing EDH with the same 4 or 5, like-minded people for years; our decks have gotten stronger, faster, and more competitive/interactive.

My list is about 90% identical to the cEDH Paradox Sisay list at tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sisay-staxcombo/ , but I've made a few exceptions. I play an extra land and some big creatures like Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Shalai, Voice of Plenty to allow for a slower game when I am at a table with less cutthroat players. Classic Sisay was all about finding the best value in Legend form, and you know, sometimes beating people with an 8/8 flying, vigilant, and indestructible angel is just the way to go.

I have chosen to retain both the Selvala, Explorer Returned draw combo line as well as the Blasting Station combo line for redundancy, but I replaced Hope of Ghirapur with Saffi Eriksdottir to combo with Karmic Guide instead of Bow of Nylea/Sisay/Paradox Engine when I need to.

RIP Paradox Engine, you will be missed.
