To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This is a go wide deck with lots of upside and efficient creature production. Maintaining board state is made even easier with Nest of Scarabs, as it allows for 2 mana 4 creature production.
Driven allows you to replenish your hand while also giving creatures trample, while Despair allows you to get around blockers with menace. Your go wide strategy is further aided by Despair as it allows Raiders' Wake to become a win con as you destroy your opponent's hand and potentially deal lethal on the discard trigger for Raiders' Wake.
Ifnir Deadlands can provide some creature production with an exhausted hand, or a way to deal with annoying cards that can go indestructible, and you can fix your mana base or sacrifice for Ifnir Deadlands with Survivors' Encampment.
Vraska is a great late game addition, or early ramp pressure piece, as she makes 2/2 menace pirates with the potential upside of bringing your opponent's life total to 1. There will be no shortage of blockers for her in this deck, and her -3 ability can definitely take care of some annoying threats on the board.
The sideboard is tailored for this deck's biggest challengers, such as Ramunap Red and Dimir Control. Battle at the Bridge will not only wither way Hazoret but will also help you to stabilize turn 5, and Trespasser's Curse will provide that stabilization as well while also applying pressure. Never//Return has an answer for powerful creatures brought in by the Scarab God, and with Return you can get rid of annoying targets in the graveyard and potentially combo with cards like Vraska, deathtouch snake tokens, or Lethal Sting in the late game to get rid of the Scarab God itself.
