This is a fun little something I brewed to try and have a "group hug" deck. It has rules, restrictions, and only one authorized way of winning : alternative win.

The concept is : You ARE the king. You DESERVE to win. But winning alone is no fun. So... You bring balance to the kingdom, so that every citizen can witness your glorious victory.

Your goal is to get infinite mana, so you can exploit Kenrith's powers. But there are rules :

  • "Instant win" is illegal (Draw your whole library and play a laboratory maniac, make the opponents draw their whole library, etc)
  • If someone is about to die, you have to save them if able (give them a blocker, give them hp, etc)
  • If someone is behind in the game, missing land drops and unable to show their deck, help that person. Make them draw, give them a tutor with scheming symmetry or wishclaw talisman, give them mana via spectral searchlight, etc.
  • Thou shalt not kill. You can attack players, but don't try to kill them. You want everyone at the table to be there when you win.
  • Once you have infinite mana, you can draw 2 or 3 times but that's it. And you refill your hand at the end of your turn, to a size of 7. This means no "20 min turn" allowed. You can't draw 40 cards in a single turn, just so you can play several wincons, protect yourself, and be unstoppable. You're here to have fun (and win), but in a fair manner. This deck is about bringing balance to the table, there is no point if you're the one breaking it.

Bonus rule : Don't hesitate to add a bit of roleplay. One thing I like to do, for example, is to "announce" King Kenrith's arrival when I play him, like a royal servant would do. Same goes for the other kings and queens cards. Also, when I get infinite mana, I usually say something like "The kingdom discovered unlimited power ! Tis a glorious day ! Every citizen can draw 3 cards, and gain 10 life."

This deck turn games into some sort of archenemy gameplay, but in a weird way. Because you're not really menacing, trying to kill everybody, or destroying their things. You even give gifts to some players. But they still have to win at some point. So they kinda let you do your thing, so you can help them do their thing, and then they can backstab you and try to seize power (emphasis on "try").
