Sporecrown Thallid gets lots of value pumping all the saprolings and any extras of itself. Sure, Metallic Mimic is a removal magnet, but considering it as an extra playset of saproling lords that make incoming saprolings permanently outside of chainwhirler range makes it a crucial meta play (even if it dies to chainwhriler itself).
Tendershoot Dryad pulls double duty pumping up and pumping out tokens. It demands an answer or threatens to take over the board. This deck ascends by turn 3 or 4 so it will always impact the board.

Slimefoot the Stowaway offers defense in the Mid to Late game. The drain abilitiy is great if you are facing aggressive strategies forcing you to block. It'll also heavily discourage the deck's main weakness: Sweepers. Excess mana can be used to add board presence after you play out your hand. This is especially effective with a few lords in play.

Song of Freyalise is so impactful. Ramp, mana fixing, and wincon all in one; dropping this once you have a few creatures out allows you to to power out even more creatures to fill the board in preparation for the final trigger. Also worth noting: You can play an intsant speed Spore Swarm after you untap lands but before Song of Freyalise triggers at the Main Phase. Moar +1/+1 counters? Yes Pls.

Shalai, Voice of Plenty is great against control. She can protect our lords from targeted removal as well as prevent spells that target you. Good against burn and kill spells but amazing against big sweepers that target the player like Settle the Wreckage and Vona's Hunger. A 3/4 with flying is nice for extra damage or blocking flyers and it's also nice to have a mana sink that benefits all the creatures when sitting on extra mana or top-decking a Song of Freyalise.

Huatli, Radiant Champion offers some much needed utility options. Her second ability is great for trampling over blockers. Pumping up lords before combat to survive a burn spell also prevents a blowout. Huatli's ultimate is the main reason to include her. Drawing several cards with each creature and token production spell gives us the gas needed to make it in the mid to late game. With Song of Freyalise, this deck is great at dumping your hand onto the board for increasing value.

Rikshar, Peema Renegade has great synergy with Song of Freyalise, Metallic Mimic, and Shalai Voice of Plenty. Use it to pump your lords out of burn range and sink mana into Slimefoot or Shalai.

Versatile removal in the form of Fatal Push and Cast Out. More options post-sideboard.
