I would rather search for Mystical Tutor, Forbid and Reality Ripple.
If you cast Mystical Tutor as soon as you untap with Kaho in play, you can't protect Mana Severance, so it doesn't matter which counter you've got. The turn after, you will have 6 mana, so you'll be able to cast Laboratory Maniac and either Counterspell or Forbid anyway.
Moreover, if you cast Mystical Tutor just before starting your second turn with Kaho in play, you can cast Forbid to protect Mana Severance, pay the buyback cost to return it to your hand and have both Forbid and Reality Ripple to protect Laboratory Maniac (I'm thinking on Abrupt Decay, Supreme Verdict and such).
Besides of Temple of the False God, why don't you add Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors too?

The point of the deck was to be an insanely funny tournament legal budget EDH deck. Its hilarious and i enjoy the deck. Its so unassuming of a commander it can do good.

This is an EDH deck. Not a modern deck. Also lab maniac combo have been done before. This is just my edh interpretation.

Thats what im saying... its the same deck but 100 cards and not modern legal. 
i do like the Kaho, Minamo Historian addition.
