I actually used to use him before I found Reassembling Skeleton.

The real problem with it was the devotion to black when I had so much extra colorless floating. Lot of situations where I would bounce him a few times with ashnods altar to ping off the killing blow and wouldn't have enough black mana while with Reassembling I only needed 1.
