The thing is its hard to get out Metalwork or the big Artifacts out easy without Refurbish.

Just use like barricade breaker in a basic affinity deck and add fling with some land

That Metalwork Colossus and Fling combo is awesome. I am definitely adding that to my Dwarf Vehicle Fling Deck. Here's a deadly budget version of it with the Colossus added.

Just use the Cathartic Reunion or Fateful Showdown to discard it, then Refurbish it straight to the battlefield. Free 10/10 creature is pretty nice!

To everybody concerned about Metalwork Colossus - yes, I'm aware that it will cost the full amount. It's synergy with refurbish and being able to sac two artifacts to get it in your hand is what interests me. You can either get it on the field or you can punish the opponent via Pia's Revolution. You go through so many cards with Cathartic and Fateful Showdown that you will find one or two Refurbish to play. During playtesting I've found it works about 2 games out of 3.

Concerns: not enough removal, protection of big creatures from board wipes.

additional synergies:
Hope of Ghirapur, swing in and then sac it to prevent the opponent from casting non creature spells next turn. Can work well with Pia's Revolution to bounce back into your hand.
Demolition Stomper: takes 6 off Metalwork, can be crewed easily and then Fling at opponent
