It's really an un complicated machanic. 901% of the creatures will get +1 counters on them, when you deal damage to an opponent.
I included some edict (geth's verdict, diabolic edict, cruel edict), some lifelink (eternal thirst, butcher's glee, mark of the vampire, whip of erebos) and dome control (act of treason, threaten, traitorous blood, traitorous instinct).

I canged the Fervor for the sword of Light and Shadow.
