Some basic removal or protective type stuff might help.
Celestial Flare , Collective Effort , Slash of Talons , Angelic Purge , Lightning Strike , Sheltering Light , Fog , Rallying Roar .
Just a few cards off the top of my head  :)

Evolving Wilds are sub optimal and Survivors' Encampment is bad..

Lightning bolt, is strictly better than lightning strike, so that is the card you would want to be playing if you want that effect. I do not think collective effort, and a few of the other cards that got mentioned have ever gotten printed as commons.
