Bourgeois Gods

Basic Aristocrats style deck using Bontu and Athreos for value.

You can play Oathsworn Vampire for Dread Wanderer. For one Mana more, easy to play in your deck an it triggers Bontu's Monument.

I like the idea, I just worry it makes Gravecrawler too inconsistent. I need to test it because Oathsworn Vampire is way better for this strategy, but nothing beats good old fashioned gravecrawler.

the Gravecrawler never was the problem, becauce you can "cast" him from your graveyard.  Dread Wanderer is just a worse standard version of the Gravecrawler, without the "cast". But you are right, the Gravecrawler is great  xD.

You have to control another zombie to play Gravecrawler, that was why Dread Wanderer stood out.

The only thing that could hope to bring this deck down, as far as I can see, is cards that exiles graveyards. I think adding a few cards to combat that would help. Spitballing here, probably Bottled Cloister? A few Pull from Eternity(s)? Just a suggestion! I really love your deck, by the way!

I'm sure Gray Merchant of Asphodel could be good in the right matchup, but he's five mana and we are running a very mana light deck. He probably won't be very consistent. As for cards which exile graveyards, I agree it is a major weakness even after sideboards. My defense is Fragmentize as a catch all out of the sideboard. The added lifegain is nice in our strategy and this deck can win a fair game of magic through a Rest in Peace or Leyline of the Void if that becomes necessary.

How about some Marsh Flats for deck thinning - love the concept

I'm really angry that this wasn't called 'Bourgeois Deities', but other than that, great deck!

I'd highly suggest Marsh Flats as the first upgrade, I was trying to keep the deck somewhat budge and Marsh Flats adds around $150 I believe. Still, it does add to the consistency and power of this deck greatly and I wouldn't take this to anything but FNM without them.

I may also try a couple of Quest for the Gravelord to take advantage of the graveyard movement

That would be a good sideboard/alternate win condition, I bet.
