ok so lets say i have mycosynth lattice out and i play Mairsil, the Pretender.  He allows you to exile an artifact or creature from your hand and it gets those creatures'/ artifacts' abilities.  If Mycosynth lattice is out and I exile a planeswalker because the planeswalker would be an artifact, would i be able to use the loyalty abilities?  If yes, what loyalty would Mairsil start at?

The PW wouldn't be an artifact to be subject to Mairsil's ability. Mycosynth Lattice makes cards not on the battlefield colorless, it does not make them artifacts.
