While I like this deck and what it's going for, Primordial Hydra lacks the "Legendary" keyword, so I doubt the deck is strictly Commander-legal with it at the helm.

I can only agree. This is a very casual deck to play in very hermetic group. Nonetheless, I am glad someone else likes it :D
