Revision 7

Monday at Joker (MI), 2-2-0, 6th/12

2-0 vs izzet aggro
0-2 vs mono W auras
2-1 vs Rakdos Sacrifice
0-2 vs shark typhoon

- In match 2 game 2 I could have played better.
- Impact Tremors was not so... impactful ;D was only marginally useful when playing Torbran.
- While Flamescroll Celebrant on paper is great against rakdos sacrifice, it actually dies so soon it's pointless (as long as the devil is already in play).
- Need to update the 1 drops.

1 drop candidates:

- Rabbit Battery
- Fervent Champion
- Hall Monitor
- Legion Loyalist
- Tin Street Dodger

Revision 12

Thursday at Underworld, 2-1-0, 2nd/6

2-0 vs mono blue spirits
2-1 vs UW control
1-2 vs orzhov something

The new entries, Hall Monitor and Village Messenger, performed very well!

Torbran+Chainwhirler is massively powerful when it's allowed to happen (usually mid game if the opponent is out of answers).

Fanatical Firebrand wasn't super good, and Bomat Courier might have to be replaced as it doesn't increase its damage from Torbran, and it never really happens that I get to use its ability.

Revision 15

Friday at Warchest, 2-1-0, 2nd/4

2-1 vs Burn
0-2 vs UW control
2-1 vs Bard class combo

- Vs control was a trainwreck
- I have way too many lands, need to remove 2
- Nothing else to report, the rest went reasonably well!

Revision 16

Pioneer summer open at Underworld, 3-1-0, 1st/10

2-0 vs Lotus Field
2-0 vs izzet prowess
2-1 vs green devotion
0-2 vs niv to light

- The deck worked very well, except the trainwreck afaint Niv to Light. The problem there is that I have no clue how could I fix that. Give that I won the overall event anyway, it's fine.

Neither Village Messenger nor Legion Loyalist managed to use their special abilities, but there aren't many interesting alternatives.
- Increasing Hall Monitor behond 2x isn't great, given that they don't really stack (they do, but they don't because I don't have that sort of mana).
- Fanatical Firebrand is nice but it's not so nice, or I wouldn't have removed it previously.
- Fervent Champion and Goblin Javeliner could have minor applications.
- Monastery Swiftspear despite not triggering prowess much in this deck is a 1/2 instead of 1/1 which might give her an edge.
- Reinforced Ronin maybe.
- Tin Street Dodger is not awful but not gamebreaking either.
- Finally Torch Courier is quite meh.
And that's about the full list of red one drops with haste, save from the utter crap.

Among those who do not natively haste we can list: Fireblade Charger, Foundry Street Denizen (that we already removed), Frenzied Goblin, Goblin Banneret, Goblin Glory Chaser, Goldhound, Rigging Runner, Scorch Spitter, Simian Sling, Voldaren Epicure, Voldaren Stinger, Weaselback Redcap.

Revision 16

Friday at Warchest, 2-1-0, 1st/4 🥇

2-1 Vs Bard class
2-0 Vs Green Energy
1-2 Vs blue spirits

- no match was easy (some games have been)
- losses were close, some victories also
- Hall Monitor was excellent again
- confirmed what said before regarding the other 1 drops. Will likely try Monastery Swiftspear or Fervent Champion.
- only drew a single Embercleave, which was countered
- Anax worked several times, while there was no way to resolve Torbran. The other 3 drops were amazing as always.

Revision 17

Monday at GamersWorld, 1-3-0, 8th/10

1-2 vs Arclight Phoenix / Thing in the Ice
1-2 vs Azorius Control / Shark Typhoon
2-0 vs BUG Control / Planeswalkers
1-2 vs Green Devosion

- In all three matches the third game has been extremely close.
- In the first two matches I've lost the third game due to last‑turn distractions, and this was super disappointing.
- In the last one, despite it was also close, I don't really know I could have done anything better.
- Overall the deck performed reasonably well, and the problem thus is there are no obvious improvements.
- Maybe the side could be better? Maybe Leyline of the Void, or anyway more graveyard hate? Maybe Settle the Wreckage, or other specific wipes? Is it worth to splash black or white? Is it even possible?

Revision 18

Monday at GamersWorld, 1-1-0, 4th/7

0-2 vs Orzhov Auras
2-0 vs Arclight Phoenix

- Match 1 was a complete trainwreck, both games ended super quickly, the whole thing lasted less than 15 minutes.
- Quite glad I finally managed to beat a phenix.
- In this revision I added Sticky Fingers, but I never got to use it in the whole (short) event.
- Rampaging Ferociodon might indeed be better vs lifegain than Roiling Vortex, simply for the amount of damage it can do itself. But it's also more fragile so dunno. And Roiling Vortex also affects other decks.

Revision 18

Thursday at Underworld, 0-3-0, 4th/4

0-2 Vs. Izzet Phoenix
0-2 Vs. Golgari stompy
0-2 Vs. Rakdos sacrifice

Literally the worst performance since I've started playing again, save for the brief Pauper stunt.

Deck is disbanded. Will likely try Burn.
