Honestly, your deck looks great! It needs little to no improvements.

On the unofficial MMTTdN deck rating scale of 6 to 538, 6 being worst, 538 being best,  I give it a 501! (this is a 93 on a scale off 0 to 100)

Its quick, easy, low cost, and has a good finisher card.

Good job!

Mine is Jace, Memory Adept. His -7 is bad, but if you do his 0 ability every turn, you can mill your opponent out in 5 or so turns!

General Magic / Favorite Card To Play
« le: Août 18, 2015, 12:26:36 am »
Tell us what your favorite card that you actually have (not Black Lotus) is to play in a deck. Mine is Probably Upwelling. I have Upwelling in my green/red deck, because you can save up mana and then play huge card. For example, If you have 4 lands, and a card that costs 8, than you can tap those 4 mana, and then again next turn to play it. I Really like playing that card.

Leave your favorite card down below, and tell me how you use it.

Here is my new blue mill deck. The strategy is to mill the opponent out, so I have a bunch of mill cards in it. Tell me what you think about it!

I like Red and Green decks because you can have many instants to destroy you opponents creatures (red), and you can play big and strong creatures to dominate on the battlefield.

My second choice would be blue decks because you can control what is in play, and you can basicly read your opponent's mind!

OK, so overall, the deck is pretty good!! Good job!

First:
You want your mana source pie chart to be the same or pretty close to the mana distribution pie chart. You might want to take out 2-3 Plains and add in 2-3 Islands so they are even.

Second:
Your mana curve is very good except for the Clone Legion cards. Even though you might think they are very good, they're not! You will almost never be able to cast them, and it will just add more cards to your deck, making more useful cards harder to get.

Third:
You want to keep your card amount as close to 60 as possible. You will definitely want to remove both Clone Legion cards, and you will probably want to remove other expensive cards, like Ancient Carp, Sandstorm Charger, Aven Tactician, and Enduring Victory. Also, You will want to take away the Contradict, and add in a Cancel to make its cost cheaper, because 1 card doesn't really matter that much. After you have done that, then take away an Island and a Plains (because you reduced your mana cost amounts) and you are down to 60 cards, and ready to play!!

Last:
If you tell me the strategy of how you will play this deck, then I can help you a little more.

Hope this helped!

Deck Reviews / Gate Deck
« le: Juin 25, 2015, 05:29:56 am »
Here is my five color gate deck:
Gate Deck (v1.1)

My strategy is to play lot of different gates, get Maze's End (by drawing it, Diabolic Tutor, or Wargate) and win the game

While this is in process, I play gate keepers, and other gate-related creatures and spells to defend myself and attack my opponent.

What do you guys think? Is the strategy bad, or good, and do you think the deck is good enough to win, or should I not use it, or should I modify it a bit?

Thanks, guys,
-MMTTdN

First:
So the first thing to work on is the mana base. You use a bit more green mana than you are able to produce. Try removing a Mountain and adding a Forest. You want the two pie charts to be the same.
Ok, thanks, that helped

Next:
I want to ask you what is your goal for this deck? What is it trying to do? How will it win games?

If you give a better understand of what you have in mind, I might be able to help you out.
OK, so my goal to start is to play small creatures on my first 3 or so turns (I should probably add more small creatures)Then use spells back them up. Around my 6th or 7th turn, I want to start playing bigger and more powerful spells and creatures to win the game. It's a basic strategy, but most of the time it works.

Last:
If you can give me more tips now that you have the strategy, that would help. Thanks!

but looking at that mana curve, YICKS is all that comes to mind.
If you don't have anything ramping super fast in there, your probably in big trouble.
Yeah- I'll try to add more cards with less mana, or take away cards that are way too expensive to balance out my hand, so I can get cards on the battlefield more quickly.

Here is my green and red deck, tell me what you think.
I need suggestions on the mana amount, and the cost of creatures and spells. Do you think they're too high?
