Deck Reviews / [Standard] Boros Aggro

Boros Aggro

This deck is an updated version of an earlier version of a Boros Aggro deck I had made a while back.  The main themes are using +1/+1 counters while creating tokens to attack with.  The tokens used in this vary in power and toughness.

The sideboard houses a few Legendary Planeswalker cards besides the one in my deck already for certain situations I may need them for, as is the Weatherlight vehicle card.

White-Black Vampires (Dominaria Standard)

The main strategy of this vampire deck is to create vampire tokens, and use vampires to overrun the opponent to win the game.  Some cards that I think are good sideboard cards are Baird, Steward of Argive, who helps drain the opponent of mana for each creature they use.  Another is Bontu the Glorified.  She can help me get rid of excess creatures, which enables her to attack or block if needed.  Other spells include Seal Away, Rite of Belzenlok, and more.  For more information, please comment on this deck.

Deck Reviews / [Standard] WB Vampires Mk. 2 (MagicGeneral)

Earlier today, I made a Magic deck featuring Vampires. While that seemed alright, I encountered some flaws in the deck, namely the fact that most of my vampires didn't have flying. So, I added some Mighty Leap cards in order to give some vampires and other creatures like Bontu, the Glorified the flying ability. In doing so, I decided to make what I have now, with some draw power from Dusk Legion Zealot, which I think is a better choice of Arguel's Blood Fast from my earlier deck designs by the fact that Dusk Legion Zealot is a creature. I have the lands in their current state with three Forsaken Sanctuary cards, and four Unclaimed Territory, along with the basic lands I posted.

I really wanted this to be a better aggro deck than what I originally made, and I will modify this with different cards per discussion on the forums here at Deckstats.net.

As a side note i see your running evolving wilds which is a good card, however that being said i'm worried that in a low to the ground deck like this may hinder the deck because you need a land which you could tap the turn you play it. (unless its like blood fast or some thing) if your worried about mana fixers you have the better lands in there for that but, concealed courtyard would be a much faster duel color land. Good luck I like the deck

Thank you. This will be duly noted.

Arguel's blood fast would work wonders with your paladin of atonement. This way you gain card advantage and you gain a growing board presence. And worst comes to worst if your paladin dies you get all that health back that you put into it.

Remove tetzimoc, primal death in exchange for bishop of rebirth to recur your creatures. IF you don't plan on using the dinosaur that often then replace it with a vampire that you can use every single game. Most of your vamps cost less than 4 mana so it'll be easy for you to pick and choose as you please.

Remove Prepare // Fight in exchange for skymarch bloodletter. It's a flying vampire that steals life every time it enters the battlefield and it helps with your aggro combos.

Those are just some of the suggestions that I have, I hope that they help.

Thank you.  This will be duly noted.

This is my version of the current Rivals of Ixalan Standard White-Black Vampires. The main purpose is, for most of the cards, is to get Vampires out as fast as possible, and drain the opponent's life total. That being said, there are some big standout cards in this deck. One of them is my copies of Profane Procession/Tomb of the Dusk Rose. Because of the card's powerful effect to exile a creature makes it a very good threat to some opponents who may rely on certain creatures to help them out in a jam, then when the card flips, I get the ability to get any exiled creature that the front side exiled, for the cost of using four mana (2+1W+1B) and the tapping of the land side. Another is my one copy of Tetzimoc, Primal Death. I use that creature as a very powerful beat-stick, even though I can use it's effect to reveal it, but I choose not to. I also included two copies of Bontu, the Glorified to help defend, and if possible, attack as a great finisher.

The lands are pretty simple. I take seven of each basic land (Plains and Swamp), along with four Unclaimed Territory cards, to use to cast vampires, three Forsaken Sanctuary cards, and two Evolving Wilds.

In my sideboard, other cards play key roles, in the case of certain scenarios. Aven Mindcensor is useful for those who may search their decks for certain cards, like the Forerunners that are featured in the deck, plus it's also a good flying creature, since every creature and creature token in the mainboard is not a creature with Flying. Some others are Gonti, Lord of Luxury, who can use his ability to take an opponent's card and exile it (face down) so you can use it later. Another two are Sphinx's Decree and Kambal, Consul of Allocation. Both are good for stopping the opponent from using noncreature spells, especially instants and sorceries (Decree), and also drain the opponent's life (Kambal).

If I were to make any changes to the deck, it would probably be getting the Concealed Courtyard card from Kaladesh to maybe replace a few lands that may not be so well put together, like the Forsaken Sanctuary cards. I might also try and splash in Green mana for cards like Journey to Eternity/Atzal, Cave of Eternity, and maybe Vraska, Relic Seeker. I may also try and get a few more copies of certain creatures like maybe Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, or (for a stretch) Vona, Butcher of Magan.

So, there you have it. If you think maybe some changes should be made to this deck, please leave a comment down below. Thank you.
