Deck Reviews / Re: Whispercraft Alarm (Infinite Tokens)
« em: Junho 01, 2018, 10:52:33 pm »
Darn, my comment was cancelled ... so once more.

I personally played a infinite whatever combo deck around intruder alarm before. And tbh, its quite fun to begin with, until it gets lame. I personally think that Intruder Alarm is probably the most used card in infinite whatever combos ever.

My deck worked around eves, generating mana, strengthening themselves and a pretty nasty Staff of Domination. However, I still only played 3 Intruder Alarms.

Anyways, your deck should have a way to win without Intruder Alarm. Although I like the idea of working with the blood artist, I still would recommend to atleast consider a planeswalker like Garruk Wildspaker or Liliana, Death's majesty to create other ways of winning with creatures.

Whatever you do, think out of the infinite combo / alarm intruder box and create reliable alternatives!

Keep it up :)

i would recommend to not take cards once or twice; look for a good pack of key cards.

however, adding white to that defender theme, i would maybe go with a few of these.

Order of the Stars
Stalwart Shield Bearers
Wakestone Gargoyl
Wall of Omens
Wall of Swords
Wall of Shards

By Colors than, Shalai, Voice of Plenty might be a card being interesting. If you wanna add planeswalker - gosh i'm getting an idea for a really nice edh - look for em white and / or green ones - power up your walls and maybe even get lifepoints with oath of ajani, gideon, martial paragorn, ajani, mentor of heroes, ajani steadfast, nissa, nature's artisan, nissa, genesis mage, nissa, voice of zendikar ... ok; maybe not all of these thingies :p

Over all your deck idea seems really fun to play. im really edged to turn that idea into an edh deck ...

Before adding golden Guardian I would look for a way of giving all your creatures some power ups ... He feels like a slow down. Maybe good though for stalls.

You overlooked Heaven // Earth for a certain reason?

Sadly Oath of Ajani is WG and i dont think you want to splash in white or some combo lands and stuff nor did you include a planeswalker anyways. If you did, any Ajani from KLD might be nice. Not too sure whether i would try though.

BUT ....how about Song of Freyalise? Might even ramp up your curve for the golden golem.

If you want some more static power ups - which might lead to Ravenous Daggertooth and Raptor Hatchling combining in a really nice advantage on the long run -  here are some ideas:

Strength of the pack is rather expensive, but combined with some ramp and for a longer game it might hurt. Alternatively Wild Onslaught. Durable Handycraft might be interesting. Sticking with Creatures and having Power up efects, even though this aint a dinosaur, how about  Verdurous Gearhulk? Im not a fan of that idea though.

Looking forward what your final results might be. are you trying this out for real or is it just a mind game?

Seems well thought to me. And i think you probably will be able to get rid of flying creatures by needletooth raptor. Seems rather fast too.

Yet i personally can't help of some combat tricks or removals - even if its your sideboarded Prey Upon in the Main Deck ...

Death Scorge Scavenger might be a nice way to make some use of your graveyarded cards. No certain Main Deck pick for me thoguh either.

How about Heaven and Earth? I think you should defo consider this one.

Another Drago comin to my mind:

Rorix Bladewing

Aside from that, how about these old ones?

Treva, the Renewer
Dromar, the Banisher
Crosis, the Purger
Darigaaz, the Igniter
Rith, the Awakener

I don't intend to change much or anything around that deck - looks fun.  8)

Yet here are some cards that might - depending on how much you change or adapt the Deck further on - help you to get through with that combo.

Another way to get Lifelink would be Squire's Devotion or - which I don't think fits in well - Victory's Herald.

To get your artifacts, Inventor's Fair might help under certain circumstances.
Planar Bridge makes it possible as well, yet is way too expensive imho.
Search for Azcanta does a better Job once flipped.
Tocatli Honor Guard
Timestream Navigator
Trophy Mage
Vizier of Tumbling Sands
Dive Down
Padeem, Consul of Innovation
Sequestered Stash
Teferi, Timebender
Workshop Assistant
Scrap Tawler
