I played a budget black/white midrange deck that used Solemnity and Vizier of Remedies to prevent Ammit Eternal, Plague Belcher, and Baleful Ammit from getting -1/-1 Counters.

Midrange

First round I lost to an Esper control deck that won with Torrential Gearhulk, because I sideboarded out most of my answers.

Second round I won against Red Rush, mainly because Fungal Infection is very good against one toughness creatures like Earthshaker Khenra, Fanatical Firebrand, and Bomat Courier.

Third round I won against Izzet wizards because the combination of Solemnity and Soul-Scar Mage prevents Abrade, Shock, Wizard's Lightning and Lightning Strike from killing my creatures.

If you have Soul-Scar Mage and Firesong and Sunspeaker at the same time, you won't gain any life because -1/-1 counters are not damage.

The goal of this deck is to play creatures with infect and then use Saskia the Unyielding to poison multiple opponents.

Also, this deck is supposed to cost less than it would cost to get a preconstructed Saskia deck.

Rotation Proof Flying Pirates (U/B/R)


The plan is to use Forerunner of the Coalition to get out Admiral Beckett Brass and then attack with three flying pirates every turn to steal a nonland permanent.

When looking at the mana curve, consider that Siren Reaver will usually be cast for 3 rather than 4.

I expect that Submerged Boneyard will be reprinted before Amonkhet rotates out, so this deck should still be legal as long as the Ixalan block is legal.
