i like the idea of the deck, but having death's shadow as ur only win con, and having very limited time to use it, makes the deck very fragile

Wow. No one has replied yet...

I agree with most of you said. White is just not good enough. You look at mono colored decks and see very powerful red decks or blue decks, but then white is just lackluster. I do think it has a general theme which is gaining life, and with the +1/+1 counters you mentioned, you see that intertwined with life gain like Ajani's Pridemate and Hallowed Priest. That being said, everything else makes a lot of sense. For me, this only applies to mono white because as you mentioned, it needs support. Paired with multiple colors, it's actually a decent choice.

I started playing magic in 2018 or 19. I was going to a sleepover and then everyone got the idea of MTG so we could play that night. I didn't have a. deck so I bought one of the precons (the one with the red vs white one that came with Drakuseth and Sephara). I liked it so I started making decks on my own, and I also found out that my history teacher also plays. So I ended up with a pretty jazzy infect deck and I made it for only 17 bucks. I am an eternal format player, and I love legacy/vintage/modern/etc. I usually only get budget decks because MTG can be an expensive hobby. I have also gotten MTGA where my main deck is a creature kill deck, but I'm sad that MTGA doesn't have all the old cards. Overall, I don't like the standard format these days and I find all the meta stuff dumb because people just copy someone's deck and how the only way to fix and OP card is banning instead of finding another solution (but it can't be helped ig). Let's just hope it gets better :>

I like that flavor text but if you're a rogue who has good dexterity and proficiency in stealth, you will almost never get caught. But I can't tell you how many times my party's wizard got kidnapped...

Yeah, I played arena for a bit and abused the hell out of Bant Yorion Control and Sultai Yorion Midrange. Boy, were they busted. Most of the cards on that list were either in the decks or archetypes the decks were built to beat (looking at you, fires). I quit several months back, but the standard environment is just poorly designed nowadays.

There's been broken stuff before, but it's like they feel compelled to release new broken stuff to fight it instead of just banning the original problems. Except, they just ban everything in the end. With cards like Uro going for $50+ and getting banned, I think standard's gone from an expensive hobby to a complete waste of money. At least on arena, you get some kind of reimbursement for these poor design decisions.

Yeah, that's why I play Legacy and Modern and limit myself only to make 20 dollar or less budget decks. What really keeps me away from standard is just that I can't deal with the rotations. All those cards that you can't play with...

I like your mana source distribution, but you could go for tri lands or more/better dual lands if you don't mind the cost

I see that this is meant to be some sort of lifegain deck, so there would usually be more creatures in it. You have 6 creatures out of 60 cards. Every 10 cards you draw, only one will be a creature. If it were a blue card draw deck, it would make more sense, but in this deck, you just lose all your momentum. I also recommend having a slightly higher average CMC, since its only 2.06, and this isn't really one of those super aggro red decks.

Honestly I like the deck, but there are a few things:
1: Your mana distribution is 79% white and 21% red, and yet your mana source distribution is nearly even. I recommend making the lands a little more balanced

2: The average CMC is 2.00. In some decks this isn't a problem, but when I simulated a starting hand and drew cards, after 3 turns or so it starts running out of steam. Put some bigger cards in.

Take this with a grain of salt cuz I only have 5 karma.
