Not bad; how have your outcomes been with your infect deck? Honestly, I don't really like Ichorclaw Myr, yes he get's the +2/+2 when blocked, but that is against creatures, and I want all of my damage to be against the player, that is why I went with the Black, so I can hate the blockers out of the way, but I understand his purpose. I do need 4, if not at least 3 rancor in my deck though!

Wild Defiance is also another one I was considering, though it might seem slow (to me), it is actually a huge buff, casting it on turn 3, then a Mutagenic Growth, and all of a sudden your are swinging for +5/+5 poison counters! What do you think, or do you run that card?

I appreciate it! That is an interesting card, and I do almost always have a forest. It is quite the buff, what that does mean a 3 mana drop will have to go...or I would be using that instead of Groundswell.. Nice addition though ;D

But now that I think about it, Groundswell could easily replace Savage Surge and I might just do that!

I don't mind Groundswell, it is nice for that +4/+4; if anything, I would just switch it up for Giant Growth or something similar, but if you don't have a land enter, then it loses it *umph*; but if you like it and works for you, then it works; it is more of a gambling card, if I may put it that way, rather than straight buff. So that is why I use Giant Growth. But good input, and I appreciate it!

Here are the altercations that I think will improve this deck:

Rancor - Fast buff that stays with you, plus the trample, in fact, I believe this card is a must main deck, I just didn't have it when I built this deck
Giant Growth - Fast buff
Titanic Growth - Buff
Increasing Savagery - Steriods!

Also, feel free to substitute Evolving Wilds for dual lands and a complete set of Verdant Catacombs if you have to money. Also, Devour Flesh can help with hate if you want.

To be honest, anything else other than fast creature buffs will decrease the speed or alter the deck format in which it was designed for: Fast damage. The main point is that when dealing with poison counters, your opponent is pretty much playing with only half of their life (10 LP), so you need to get the damage across fast; a caveat is that infect creatures are weaker; compared to their counterparts that deal normal damage, hence the emphasis on buffs. Also, the numerous hate cards provided by black to eliminate blockers. The format is really quite simple, but very effective.

Inkmoth Nexus - Infect Creature that is also land, similar to the Standard Mutavaults. A key card in this deck.
Bojuka Bog - Simply playing against a graveyard

Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon - Finisher
Putrefax - Finisher, the Haste + Trample combo is the point in this, since the creature isn't going to last anyway.
Hand of the Praetors - Boost any infect creature out there, plus adding a poison counter to your opponent whenever you cast a creature with infect (good thing all of your creatures have infect!)
Flesh-Eater Imp - Simple flyer
Tangle Angler - This card doesn't seem very effective at first, but it can easily handle all of the blockers in order to get your damage through in one swoop, and it plays a vital role!
Phyrexian Crusader - An attacker, but also his protection from White and Red is a bonus when dealing with several decks, a metagaming card!
Plague Stinger - Fast flyer, simple and sweet.
Birds of Paradise - A multipurpose card, this card just doesn't provide the mana boost or cheap blocker, but its real purpose is used for Praetor's Grasp; allowing you to pay for any colored mana that the card may require.

Mutagenic Growth - Fast buff, life doesn't matter with this deck, it is a race; remember: Poison counters, your opponent is already at half health!
Giant Growth - A quick buff, to be honest, more could be added, but the deck works fine.
Virulent Swipe - A buff; actually, a double buff! (Or a quick blocker - perhaps on a Bird?!)
Virulent Wound - Hate plus poison!
Doom Blade - Hate
Savage Surge - A buff or untap for blocker after an attack - could be swapped for Titanic growth/ Giant growth
Dismember - Best hate! Especially for those indestructible creatures.
Praetor's Grasp - Metagame card! Or if you want to just look through someones deck, oh, and your Birds! Guess you could play them too!
Diabolic Tutor - Get what you need to finish the game
Caress of Phyrexia - If your creatures can't finish, then this is your victory.

//Sideboard
Go for the Throat - Hate
Geth's Verdict - More Hate
Doom Blade - Additional Hate
Naturalize - Artifact hate
Relic Putrescence - If someone is artifact dependent, this should make them weary about tapping it (talking to you Myr!)
Praetor's Grasp - Additional deck search (of opponent's!)
Dismember - Hate
Glistening Oil - A sneaky trick, such as taking an opponent's creature (Praetor's Grasp), then giving them Infect, or if your life is low, giving yourself infect damage instead may prolong your life; possibly just the amount you need, also a weenie hate.
Caress of Phyrexia - Additional victory source.

Infect Deck (Original Format)

This is the best deck I've ever built from scratch; I've taken on numerous decks with this and have always had tremendous results. I have since realized the possible additions to make this deck even faster and more aggressive than it already is! I would like you to test this deck yourself or give your play experience! I have no doubt in this deck and it can only improve, though, at this point, I believe that it can only be minor tweaks (which I will mention), that can adjust to peoples play style.

I would suggest you first test it out at a FNM tourney, then see how the deck plays and feels to you and post your results, that will really help people out in giving you advice, also, you'll be able to see what works and what doesn't work well, what decks you had trouble with/ totally smashed, and what cards they played that you either had trouble with or didn't? That will also give you (and us) clues to which help further progress your deck! Planar Cleansing!

Thanks Cheddarchet, I didn't consider Homing Lightning at all! That does seem like an excellent sideboard card actually! And that paired with Bile Blight should give me a more aggresive apporach in this deck! I'm definitely going to go look for those at the card shop when I get a chance and hopefully will be able to test them out at next week's FNM! Unfortunately, this last Friday they were out of Bile Blight, so I wasn't able to implement those in, but I do know that I need to put those in my mainboard, if not at least have them side boarded, and I agree with Fanatic of Mogis being in there after playing this deck last time, seeing that most people won't pay tribute, it is better to get that damage across as soon as it enters the battlefield. And you are right though, I didn't find Oracle of Bones as useful as I thought it would be.

First FNM with this deck: lost horribly to the mono-black devotion deck (Desecration Demon, Gray Merchant, Devour Flesh, etc...) but learned how to play better and what will help me out; to be honest, not expecting that this deck will beat all of these copied top-8 decks that ay one can look up on wizards.com, but not trying to spend +$400 just to win at FNM either, when I know what the field contains.

Oh, and what about control beat you? Was it counter spells? Bounce spells? It can also be how you play the deck? Example: You know your opponent has a cancel card, is it better for him to waste it on a 3-mana card, or perhaps you can cast a 1-mana and 2-mana card instead, making him/her only cancel one of those? That is actually one of the most important strategies you can have when facing a control deck, you have to play your cards more carefully, just a tip in case you didn't know that, not saying you don't, but hope that the advice helps when choosing cards!

When you were beat by a Blue Control deck, you should really sit down and ask yourself, what cards were my biggest problem (or combination of some), but here is the thing with blue, they are meant for control! So you have to think of what (deck) strategy beats a control? And can your current deck strategy beat it? Hope it helps man!

To be honest, the best thing against control is either mill them or control yourself; speaking of which, black has an awesome control card: Tormented Thoughts, but since you are white and green, Fated Retribution and Planar Cleansing will help you late game, cards like Arrest and Azorius Arrester are good at keeping opponents creatures at bay, Scavenging Ooze will grow stronger as your opponents sends more cards to the graveyard; those are only a few I can think of without changing your deck strategy. Aegis of the Gods and Banishing Light, Deicide and Eidolon of Rhetoric could be simple adds for your white side; while Bassara Tower Archer and Mistcutter Hydra can help keep you keep creatures on the board. I hope that helps, at least with the idea behind behind each of them...

I also think that Elixir of Immortality doesn't do much for you, especially since you only have 1 mainboarded; Hero of Iroas wll help you cast enchantments faster, while also giving him +1/+1 counters, just a suggestion since your win conditions seem to be enchantments.

Better; Have you considered Fleecemane Lion? Also what are you trying to do with this deck? Mana ramp and enchant creatures?
