Rootha, Mercurial Artist - Pauper EDH Combo: (EDH / Commander)

Assemble an infinite combo and win the game with an infinite mana payoff like Fireball. If you're lucky enough to have 2 recursion creatures out, looping Deep Analysis, or Elemental Mastery can win the game too. Also, Merchant of the Vale’s looting ability can get you the cards you need to win the game if you have infinite mana.

The deck runs mostly instants so Rootha can stay on board to block a non-trampling creature before she gets returned to hand. The deck also runs a lot of cards with multiple functions. Modal spells, adventure spells, and the like are there because the deck needs other options for when going for a combo win won’t work. This leads to some spells being less efficient than others with the same function, but I believe they’re generally better for the deck.

There are a few combinations of infinite combos in the deck, and all of them contain a recursion creature. Some of them need High Tide, and each of them need Ghostly Flicker, Displace, or Snap. Ghostly Flicker and Displace combos also need a land untapper.

Peregrine Drake + Ardent Elementalist + Displace

High Tide + Cloud of Faeries + Mnemonic Wall + Ghostly Flicker

Goblin Electromancer / Mocking Sprite + Rootha, Mercurial Artist + High Tide + Archaeomancer + Snap.
