Tasigur (EDH / Commander)

Strategy

This is "[[Fact or Fiction]] tribal."

The goal of the deck is to resolve as many spells as possible that make opponents choose how the game is going. Many of these spells are instants or sorceries, but there are some creatures that have the effect too. [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]] is the perfect commander for this deck because it's activated ability plays right into the theme.

Filling up the graveyard is important to this deck. This is useful for a few reasons, mainly:

• Casting delve spells,
• Having a wider selection with [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]],
• Reanimating, and
• A few other small synergies.

An important play pattern with this deck is to fill up the graveyard, then eat away spells you don't want using delve, then activate [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]] to try and trap opponents into giving you a good card because their selection is curated. Furthermore, with [[Underrealm Lich]] you can fully mill out, not lose, delve away nearly all your cards with [[Titan’s Nest]] or in other ways, and activate [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]] repeatedly to force one particular card to come back over and over (looking at you, [[Cyclonic Rift]]).

Fun/Value Cards

This deck also plays some fun cards that aren't super competitive but are interesting. Examples include:

• [[The Most Dangerous Gamer]],
• [[Invasion of Amonkhet]],
• [[Out of Bounds]],
• [[Talion, the Kindly Lord]], and
• [[Villainous Wealth]].

It's nice to have some cool value cards that are just fun.

Staying Alive

Since it's difficult to stay alive in commander, there are some cards in here that just try to prevent so much life loss.

• [[Fatespinner]] should stop people from attacking because they usually want to have mana and a chance to develop their board state.
• [[Sheoldred, the Apocalypse]] gains life slowly and also blocks very well.

Attraction Deck

There is an attraction deck for this deck because of [[The Most Dangerous Gamer]]. The sideboard here is used to specify the attraction deck. The cards in there were chosen for synergy and value.

Notable Interactions

• [[Titan’s Nest]] works very well with [[Chromatic Orrery]].
• [[Sheoldred, the Apocolypse]] does not work well with [[Underrealm Lich]], but both cards are very strong and the card selection in this deck is enough to not worry about this.

Maybeboard Discussion

• There are some other [[Fact or Fiction]]-style cards in here just so that I remember that I don't want to play them. The ones here are not as good as the ones in the deck.
• I am taking a break from [[Expropriate]], [[Collector Ouphe]], and [[Rhystic Study]] to play more interesting and less powerful cards.
• There are other cards in here that could help play defense.
