Gameplan is pretty straightforward, and comes in 2 parts:
Part 1; before Nymris is out - try to gain resources (mana and cards) as much as possible while always maintaining mana for at least 1 counter/interaction spell to prevent an opponent from winning on their turn.
Part 2; once at 5 mana, try and flash out Nymris before our untap step, ideally with a way to protect him. Once Nymris has resolved, we take a more aggressive stance with our interaction, trying to counter/remove/cantrip at least once each turn to churn through our deck and assemble the thoracle consultation win.
I decided to cut mana vault and grim monolith because unlike decks like toxrill or korvold, powering out a fast Nymris doesn't actually do anything on its own. We need around 4 mana that untaps once Nymris is out to actually start up the interaction engine, and very frequently, even in the best situations where I could turn 2 Nymris off mana Vault, I would end up just not doing much after because I wouldn't have the resources to start doing the thing, so I decided to cut the worst of the fast mana, and keep some in (cabal ritual and dark ritual are preferred over the artifact fast mana because they are colored mana and can be cantriped with nymris).
Maybeboard reasonings:
Ledger Shredder / Faerie Mastermind / Notion Thief = All of these cards would be played immediately were thassa's oracle to be banned. However, they can all be leveraged by our opponents to kill us in response to a win, and as such that big drawback has caused me to remove them from the deck as is.
Archmage Emeritus = Is currently not played for 2 reasons, 1 it is 4 mana for a 2/2 with no keywords to protect itself, and it is not a passive engine, meaning you have to do stuff to make it work. Additionally, its draws are non-optional so it can be used to kill us in response to thoracle. It's not in the above category because if thoracle were banned I don't think this card would be an immediate include.
Dig Through Time / Treasure Cruise = With Ad Nauseam being cut from the deck these delve cards get more attractive. Major things keeping them out right now is that we still run dark confidant and we don't fill the graveyard that quickly, even with nymris helping out.
Ashiok / Karn = Stax Planeswalkers, currently prefer to have more instants over these play-and-protect walkers in a deck with so little board presence.
Narset, Parter of Veils = This card comes in alongside the wheels in the sorcery category with notion thief as the thief wheel wincon package if we lose thoracle.
Echo of Eons / Windfall / Whispering Madness = 3 primary wheels I'm considering running as part of the narset / thief package. Notably, with nymris, notion thief, and lab maniac/jace, whispering madness typically will immediately draw our deck off of the cipher trigger. It also draws us a lot of cards towards finding the wincon that may be missing from those 3.
