90’s Mono-Green Ramp (Vintage)

Classic 90’s Mono-Green designed and balanced to duel in a set of decks I put together.

Cool feature:

With a perfect hand (i.e. it’ll never happen lol), this deck can DEAL 96 DAMAGE WITH TRAMPLE ON TURN 4. (similarly, it should be possible to win on turn 3 with Elvish Ranger & Berserk although with less damage dealt... probability-wise, there’s about a 0.1% chance of drawing the cards needed to pull that off, and an even smaller chance of getting the cards in the right order)

Opening Hand:

Turn 1:

Draw: Berserk
Play: Forest and cast Wild Growth on it.
End of turn 1 hand:
• Forest
• Wild Growth
• Wild Growth
• Wild Growth
• Hungry Mist
• Berserk

Turn 2:

Draw: Berserk
Play: a second Forest and then cast three more Wild Growth on the new Forest. You should now have one Forest that can produce GG and another that can produce GGGG
End of turn 2 hand:
• Hungry Mist
• Berserk
• Berserk

Turn 3:

Draw: Berserk
Play: Cast Hungry Mist
End of turn 3 hand:
• Berserk
• Berserk
• Berserk

Turn 4:
Draw: Berserk
Play: With 2 Forest and 4 Wild Growth in play, you have a total of GGGGGG Available. Use the Forest that produces GG to pay the upkeep cost for Hungry Mist. Before the damage step of combat, cast all 4 Berserk on Hungry Mist, allowing each instance to resolve before casting the next. So your Hungry Mist will have:

Starting P/T: 6/2
1st Berserk: 12/2
2nd Berserk: 24/2
3rd Berserk: 48/2
4th Berserk: 96/2

Attack for 96 trample damage!!

...and then your opponent casts Terror or something and RIP your Hungry Mist.
