This deck doesn't have any goblins. Nope. Not any. None. No token hordes for me, no sir.
This deck is inspired by a couple of decklists I came across on r/EDH along with some touches of my own. It features about as much interaction as I could get my totally clean not goblin playing hands on, along with a very slight whiff of Pirates and definitely no Goblins. Subira's preference for low to the ground aggro is unique in mono red and a lack of a true tribal theme means I can run a bunch of weird red cards that otherwise don't see use outside of Standard/Modern if at all. I find this deck intriguing particularly because I can run the popular Modern man-lands like Inkmoth Nexus and Blinkmoth Nexus and get actual use out of them, something I can't say about any other deck I've seen besides my own Yuriko build. The overwhelming majority of the cost of this build is in the mana base. You can definitely build and run this deck just fine without the high powered mana, but I had them on hand anyway so I figured why not. This deck is still in playtesting but what I've found already is that it's completely bonkers to play. The low mana value of basically everything means you can get going super fast, start hitting very early and as you progress you can start adding extra damage, extra draws, and even stealing from opponents' board states. I'm working on adding in some of the new Modern Horizons 2 cards for even more fun. This deck won't win on commander damage and there aren't infinite combos, but you do beat people to death about as quickly anyway. Possible ways to push this further would probably be to add trigger doubles and 1 or 2 more global Haste effects, but beyond Anger I'm not sure what I can add in mono red.
