Overview
If you've ever wanted to have Mangara, The Diplomat pilot a Fiery Emancipation and crash it into your opponent's face for 36 points of damage, this deck is for you. The theme of this deck is enchantment forward, as opposed to artifacts - as I found it much, much funnier. Will you end up destroying your own strategic advantage? All the time. But your opponents will give you less attention because of it. If you enjoy being the architect of your own undoing, but still somehow winning, this deck is for you.
Win-Con Routes
Tutors - Idyllic Tutor, Enlightened Tutor into 5/6 Cost Enchantment - Fiery Emancipation, Gratuitous Violence, Sphere of Safety, Consulate Crackdown into Double Strike - Blade Historian, Boros Charm, Duelist's Heritage, Akroma's Will into Unblockable - Akroma's Will, Absolute Grace, Alseid of Life's Bounty, Faith's Shield, Mother of Runes
Strategy
Rex Nebula only needs one big enchantment to stick to the board to win the game, so most of the work here is in making sure we keep drawing cards to find the enchantment we need, and making sure that enchantment, when it does hit, does as much damage as it can. This is, of course, meta-specific, but I have found that people don't typically run a lot of enchantment removal. And when they do, they tend to focus on enchantments that make their life much worse than the ones presented here. That makes this deck extremely sticky. And, because Rex can pilot an enchantment on the turn he comes in, you can sneak a lot of damage on an opponent after a board wipe.
Lessons Learned
Cards like Aethershield Artificer and Nahiri's Machinations are essentially useless in this deck, and it's because of the fact that one must choose targets when triggers are placed on the stack. So basically anything that triggers at the beginning of combat is useless to us because it wants to target a creature, and no creature exists until Rex's trigger goes off.
