DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Hello! Please, take a seat. Make yourself comfortable. I'm just going to ask you a couple questions.
Do you want a deck that will allow you to maneuver your political skills and become allies with everyone at the table?
Do you have a tendency for wordplay?
Are you fan of tribal synergies?
If you answered "yes" to all of the above, then this deck could be perfect for you!
Jokes aside, this deck does have a quite unique and interesting purpose. This deck is literally a social experiment. It isn't just a funny title, and it's not a stunt for views.
So, how does the experiment work? Good question! Let's answer that scientifically.
STRATEGY:
The first thing you'll want to do is ramp and play lands. Throw a couple cheap, synergistic allies on the field and ramp to Tazri in a couple turns. Use her ETB to search up an Ally (this is not a combo deck, just any old Ally will do) and play normally after that.
Except for one thing.
This deck is absolutely loaded with cards that let your opponents decide. Things like Council's Judgment and Plea for Power, as well as Magister of Worth (one of my favorites). I took out Expropriate because it is expensive, rude, and one-sided. Our goal is to make allies here, not enemies! Gameplay-wise, The point of these cards is to gain you political leverage by letting your opponents choose their fate. In terms of the experiment, these cards are the experiment!
THE EXPERIMENT:
Choices, choices, choices. War or peace? Strength or numbers? Grace or Condemnation? This is what we will decide! Or rather, the opponents will decide.
The experiment works by playing cards that force players to make decisions. We take note of each player's approximate level of confidence on a scale of one to 10, based solely on their board state and life total. We will then record the votes that the players take. If it is a case of choosing cards that are more or less threatening, like in Council's Judgement, or if it's choosing whether to be mean or nice to the opponent, we'll categorize the choices into scales such as "weak" to "threat" and "gracious" to "aggressive".
At the end of a game, I should have collected enough data to be able to analyze it. I will identify trends in the links between confidence and choices. I will be writing a practical report, and I will upload it here when it is done.
Thanks for checking in. Have a great day.
