To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This is may just be it. The last Golem deck I build. I have been fixated on doing this for literal years. It's still not perfect, I don't think it will ever be. But it's miles past any past jank ridden sub optimal deck.
They're big, They're tough, and each pile of scrap they come across will just make them stronger.
I feel that Naya best suits Golems as a tribe. In your face aggressive creatures. Huge board states. Explosive growth into overwhelming wins. Akiri, Line-slinger is not particularly synergistic with the rest of the deck, but she gets big with the more artifacts we have, which is part of our goal.
Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer is the focus of the deck. The plan is to get him out alongside other golem friends and abuse his triggered ability. It is deceptively powerful.
"Whenever an artifact is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on Ich-Tekik and a +1/+1 counter on each Golem you control."
This includes artifact tokens, sacrificing artifacts, and opponent's loosing artifacts.
As far as artifact tokens there is Tireless Tracker, and Tamiyo's Journal, that do their regular wonderful things of drawing cards, tutoring and getting large. There is the added benefit of pumping my team with each clue sacrafice. Smothering tithe is baseline busted in any deck. Here it is doom for our opponents. Present treasures make Akri, Line Slinger Huge, and if you decide to cash them in it's counters for every golem and Ich-Tekik! Not a single peice of scrap goes to waste.
We have a wide variety of sacrafice options in red for artifacts, each of which provides value such as getting a different artifact back, draw, protecting key artifacts, mana etc. Each of these pieces are useful on their own, and works in concert with that resourceful triggered ability of our commander.
Lastly we have a suite of removal, repeatable artifact removal can pump our team while slowing down our opponents. Sylvok Replica, Aura Shards, dispeller's capsule, are each repeatable removal therefore Ich-Tekik triggers.
Liquimetal Coating is a pet card of mine in this deck. Realistically, you'd just be turning creatures or permanents about to die into an artifact to accrue value. You can also cheese any permanent removal if you only have artifact removal at your disposal. With Karn, Silver Golem you can blow up any land on the field by turning land into artifact into 0/0 Creature.
Last there are a few combos for infinate mana or counters. Not a focus of the deck, but a way to close out games with certainty.
Animation Module + Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer + Ashnod's Altar or Krark-Clan Ironworks
Sacrifice an artifact or artifact creature for 2 mana. Ich-Tehik Triggers. Pay 1 into Animation Module to create a 1/1 Servo artifact creature. Sacrifice the servo. Repeat for infinite counters on our team and infinite mana.
Karn, Silver Golem+ any artifact land or Mana Crypt + Salvaging Station +Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer
Tap the artifact land or Crypt for mana and pay into Karn to turn the artifact into an artifact creature. It dies immediately due to being a 0/0. Ich-Tekik Triggers. Salvaging Station, if tapped, untaps. Use Salvaging Station to bring the land or crypt back. Repeat for infinite death triggers and counters.
Karn, Silver Golem + Thran Dynamo or Gilded Lotus + Voltaic Construct
Tap our mana rock and use 1 for Karn's ability to target our mana rock. Pay 2 into Voltaic Construct to untap our mana rock creature. Tap the mana rock for mana and pay 2 into Voltaic Construct to untap. Tap and untap the rock this way for infinite mana.
There is some decently complex tech in the deck but at the end of the day it's a Timmy's Dream. Big splashy golems. Blightsteel Colossus, Platinum Emperion, the new Phyrexian Triniform. Every golem provides value inherently, but with splicers in play they become a formidable board and take over games.
