Overview

I'm creating a series intended to showcase influential Decks throughout Magic history, with a particular emphasis on those that caused banlist updates, some of which may be in effect to this day.  These Decks will not be 100% accurate representations of the actual lists that resulted in the bans as they are merely educated guesses based on the cards in use at the time, particularly those that were actually banned where data is available.  I don't expect this series to update frequently but I do hope that once I have enough of these Decks I can pit them against each other, which might ultimately end up looking a bit like the Cross-Banlist Cups occasionally hosted by YuGiOh! YouTubers.

This is one plausible variant of an Aetherworks Marvel Deck of the sort quite prevalent during Kaladesh Block's Standard run; I'm running a lot of Eldrazi because the point of the Energy Decks of the time was to cheat as many of them out as possible.

Aetherworks Marvel, Emrakul, the Promised End, Attune with Aether and Rogue Refiner were all banned in Standard due to variants of this Deck, albeit likely not all at once; Smuggler's Copter was also banned (and is still banned in Pioneer), but despite its being released in Kaladesh Block, this Deck was probably not responsible for that ban.
