Oona Doos Trees (PDH) (EDH / Commander)

Pauper EDH is an alternative format that uses any uncommon creature as the commander and the 99 are commons.

This mono-black deck is ran by Oona's Blackguard, an uncommon that promotes rogue tribal and discard game plans.

Unfortunately there's not a lot of great rogues and no discard payoffs at common, but we make do with some evasive / deathtouch rogues.
The deck tries to control the board & limit the resources our opponents have while getting damage in with our rogues and equipment. Cranial Plating is a powerhouse as usual.

But Oona's Blackguard doesn't only encourage rogues. Any creature with +1+1 counters make opponents discard if they deal combat damage so we run Savage Gorger, Hagra Constrictor and Gluttonous Slug. There's probably other good +1+1 creatures I've missed, I'll update the deck if I find them.

While we're whittling away at our opponents health and hands we'll keep drawing & develop our board. Since there's no great rogue or discard payoffs we have an equipment package that give our evasive rogues a considerable attack boost. Viridian Longbow works well with our deathtouch creatures.

Since we're making our opponents put cards in their graveyard it's possible they can take advantage of that so we run a lot of graveyard hate; Relic of Progenitus, Bojuka Bog, Nihil Spellbomb and Faerie Macabre.

We need Oona's Blackguard to stay on the board for the discards to happen, so to keep her safe we run some protection; Oblivion's Hunger, Whispersilk Cloak, Blessing of Leeches, Soul Channeling and Wail of the Nim (which doubles as removal). They can of course protect other creatures as well.

Our curve is fairly low so the deck only runs 35 lands and a few mana rocks, it's probably too few but I'll evaluate it as I playtest.

Weaknesses of the deck are first and foremost boardwipes, our creatures aren't very tough and we have almost no way to prevent wipes (Wail of the Nim being the exception). We also have no real interaction against combo decks except keeping their hand sizes small.
