Pharika, God of Affliction, used Kylie's lab to create clones of Purphoros, God of the Forge, and Klothys, God of Destiny. When they were ready, she took them before the Leyline of the Void. The three of them combined their powers, and used the magic of the leyline to set the world to right by banishing Tiamat and her evil army to another real and banning them from ever coming to either Theros or to the realm of Planet Earth. What the three did not expect is that this would awaken eight sleeping angels who guard Great Britain, but angels serve gods, so they were able to get the angels to help in their project.

Taking stock of what happened, Dr. Kylie Moriarty was left devastated after she realized that she had been under Tiamat's control. Kylie repented of her wicked ways and performed a ritual of penance.

Klothys explained to Kylie that forgiveness can be found, if you are willing to pay the price. You must absorb someone else's sin as if you were a sin eater, and then deposit that sin into a Leyline of the Void. Klothys has no idea how one can actually eat someone's sins, but Pharika does. First, she took Kylie's sins away by creating her potion and making Kylie's sin bleed out while the ever-faithful Archetype of Endurance drank the sin. Then Pharika led the Archetype to the leyline, and forced him to expel it all into it. Now that Kylie was cleansed, Pharika ordered Kylie to go to all Tiamat had tainted who had not been exiled with her and start drinking their sins. (In practice, this means milling your cards away and disposing of them with the Leyline of the Void).
As she began practicing it, Kylie discovered that the forgiveness comes in the process, not the deed itself. And so the quest for redemption for Planet Earth had begun.

Purphoros loves this token deck. Kylie told the gathered company that the only thing that truly mattered was cleaning up time and space so the multiverse wouldn't collapse. All of the token creators are on Purphoros' team. Dr. Moriarty discovered that he does wonders, creating light damage at the arrival of creatures and tokens, especially if Mindcrank should happen to be around.

The quest was going relatively well, as Kylie and the gods produced tokens that forced people to bleed (milling), which she drank and deposited into the leyline. People were being cleaned of Tiamat's influence and the evil things she made them do, just as Kylie was. But Erebos, who had served her gladly, attacked Kylie, demanding she stop or he would destroy her. He had never been under Tiamat's control, but he loved the destruction and death she was causing. Pharika intervened, followed by Purphoros and Klothys. Klothys even made Erebos briefly mortal simply because she could. When Kylie had the chance to kill him, she refused, instead beginning the sin-eating process on him. Erebos, now cleansed of his sins, realized how ghastly he had been and joins the other god clones in their quest. This does not take away his loathing for Heliod. It removes your sins, not your entire personality, and Heliod doesn't ever say the magic words "I'm sorry", so . . .

Kylie manages to clean up much of Europe and the rest of the world, but she can't even begin in the United States. The taint is too strong for even the gods to fix. In fact, Kylie and the gods have to pull Erebos away because it tempts him to return to his sins . . .

It was in that midnight moment when Pharika told her she had been forgiven at last for helping Tiamat, and that now she was free to resume her normal work. Realizing this task was too big for any single person or any single army, Klothys and Pharika decided to help, cleansing the Leyline of the Void by transforming the remaining elements of sin within it into either energy or deadly snakes.

The battle strategy is to use creature creation to force my opponents into milling. Which means making tokens works great for me, while doing light damage to my rivals with Purphoros. And this light pain triggers the Mindcrank, so that the pain forces milling.
