Kalamax, the Stormsire is a creature of pure, destructive chaos: few creatures are as catastrophically destructive as Kalamax, which is capable of unleashing torrents of earth-shattering lightning. It wanders as it pleases, throwing out enough chaotic energy to power - or demolish - a city. It's capable of leveling mountains, and whole horizon lines are changed in the wake of its passage. Its mood changes with the weather, and vice versa. It creates lightning storms when it is annoyed, upset, or excited. Some of Ikoria's biggest disasters happened because Kalamax was in a bad mood. It is rumored that it was responsible for an infamous Shark Typhoon. Kalamax exudes raw elemental energy, power any mage would covet - if they could get close enough to harness it. [https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Kalamax]

With Kalamax at the helm, expect to command big spells that devestate your opponents. Protect him the battlefield, and choose wisely when and how to tap him, to produce the best results. He is a lightning rod for your spells and enemy removal!

Use key wizards and shamans like Guttersnipe to pummel your enemies, Talrand, Sky Summoner to generate evasive blocking & attacking birds that we know are swirling above Kalamax & Veyran, Voice of Duality as an amplifier for all of your permanents affected by the continuos barrage of instants and sorceries at your disposal. Keep your hand stocked with spells and value engines like Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, and get double effectivnes from instant ramp like Harrow & Crop Rotation while Kalamax is on the field.

Build up your resources to cast arcs of lightning and storms of fire with Comet Storm and/or Electrodominance. Failing that, use a now pumped Kalamax to face-off against an opponent one on one with Fling.

Finally, depending too much on Kalamax may get dicey, as the big guys does need rest and it sometimes overwhelmed. In such situations, use Twinning Staff or Swarm Intelligence with instant copiers like Reiterate to produce similar effects to Kalamax, allowing you to still devastate your opponents.
