Kalamax slumbers until awakened- then all hell breaks loose with crackling energy and his immense strength.
This deck starts a little slow, ramping and trying to get Kalamax on to the field. It then grows him a bit and hopefully generates a few token blockers, while building up additional copiers in your hand or on the field. Threats are mitigated by an large interaction pool, with lots of soft removal and direct damage dealers.
To close the game you can either cast some big finisher spells, use Kalamax's internal power with Fling -like effects or use Thassa, God of the Sea / Whispersilk Cloak/ Rogue's Passage to make Kalamax unstoppable (unblockable).
The deck has 2 fog effects in the form of Blessed Respite and Jaheira's Respite, both providing additional value in the form of graveyard hate & ramp.
