Story

The Liliane sisters (Liliana, Heretical Healer // Liliana, Defiant Necromancer, Liliana, Death Mage) have invited a few dark personalities to a cooking party in their kitchen - a peaceful place in itself, because they only go out onto the battlefield when they absolutely have to, because a full stomach doesn't like to fight! Unfortunately, the hosts are late.

Nevertheless, the guests who have already arrived and the kitchen staff start cooking hungrily. While the oven (Witch's Oven) is not yet really hot, the Experimental Confectioner has already brought the starter (Colorless Food Token).
Today, undead cats (Cauldron Familiar) are on the menu. Under the guidance of the Confectioner and delicious sacrificial ritual recipes from The Underworld Cookbook, we bake diligently and eat healthily, which ultimately increases our life energy! Unfortunately, the Confectioner is always a bit sloppy when washing up afterwards, which quickly attracts rats (Black Rat Tokens). Normally the cat takes care of it - but it's in the oven... Never mind, the Priest of Forgotten Gods loves to eat rats, usually two at a time!
In the meantime, Midnight Reaper brings over a few new spices to prepare the cat in a more exotic way.

When the two sisters finally show up, things start to get uncomfortable. The way it looks in the kitchen...

However, a good Gra(p)Pa (Grave Pact) as a degistive then restores order in the stomach, kitchen and on the battlefield. If that's still not enough, you'll get the blood cocktail recommendation of the house (Exquisite Blood) on top.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel, who was stuck in a mana jam, can only eat what's left.... Wait... the cat is alive again ??!! Off to the oven... I wonder if the cat's father Lurrus of the Dream-Den had a hand in this?

Deck ideas & mechanics:

Central mechanic

• The central idea is to bake the cat (Cauldron Familiar) in the Witch's Oven into food tokens and then bring it back with the freshly cooked food (that can be sacrificed to gain 3 life) and annoy it -> cat-oven-food-cat cycle or "cat whine". (For each cat-oven-food-cat cycle, the exchange is 2 mana <-> +4 life points and -1 life points for the opponent). In detail:
  At Start: you have one food and Cat is in graveyard
  • sacrifice the food to bring back the cat (+1 / -1)
  • bake the cat in the oven, gain 1 food
  • sacrifice that food (costs 2 mana) and gain +3 life (or bring back the cat again)

Food can also come from the other food sources (Cookbook, Confectioner)

• Direct battles, only if necessary or if you want to send someone to the graveyard. Otherwise, use the Removals to stall for synergies.

To increase the "cat's whine", the other creatures and spells come into play, each of which either increases the cat's death/death or life loss/gain

Turn 2:

• Blood Artist: boosts the cat's whine(2 mana <-> +5 / -2 )
• Priest of Forgotten Gods: Alternative way to send the cats to the graveyard + sacrifice 2 mana for food). If Grave Pact is on the field, use it to clear your opponent's battlefield (3 sacrifices per Priest ability)

Turn 3:

• Ayara, First of Locthwain: Analogous to Blood Artist - only when boarding the cat - and the others (rats for example) + 3 Black Devotions for Gray + Sacrifice/Draw option
• Midnight Reaper as a draw option (more cats!!!)
• Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose: Boosts the cat's whine (e.g.: If Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose + Blood Artist are on the field, then the catwhine is already 5 / -7) - now sacrificing the Food already hurts

Now come the evil spells:

Turn 4:

• Grave Pact: Now every Priest sacrifice and cat death hurts twice as much

Turn 5:

• Equisite Blood: Together with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to the Infinite-Combo and the cat becomes deadly

Secondary threats:

• Gray Merchant of Asphodel as an additional threat: can also board out multiple times with Witch Cottage, Memorial of the Folly and Liliana, after sacrifice or combat death
• The two Lilianas: If you manage to get the emblem, the cat and Gray Merchant of Asphodel exhume themselves + enemy creatures

Weak spots / attack counters:

• Exile the Cats (Cauldron Familiar)
• Fast attacks (can be balanced with food if necessary)
• Lack of mana to convert food

Story

Die Liliane-Schwestern (Liliana, Heretical Healer // Liliana, Defiant Necromancer, Liliana, Death Mage) haben ein paar dunkle Persönlichkeiten zur Kochparty in ihre Küche eingeladen - an sich ein friedlicher Ort, denn raus auf's Schlachtfeld geht es nur, wenn es unbedingt sein muss, denn ein voller Magen kämpft nicht gern! Leider verspäten die Gastgeberinnen sich.

Die bereits eingetroffenen Gäste und die Küchenhilfen kochen dennoch hungrig los. So lange der Ofen (Witch's Oven) noch nicht richtig heiß ist, hat der Experimental Confectioner schon die Vor-Speise (Colorless Food Token) mitgebracht.
Heute steht untote Katze (Cauldron Familiar) auf dem Speiseplan. Unter Anleitung des Confectioners und leckeren Opfer-Ritual-Rezepten aus The Underworld Cookbook wird fleißig gebacken und gesund gegessen, das erhöht schließlich die Lebensenergie! Beim Abwasch danach ist der Confectioner oft etwas schlampig, was ganz schnell Ratten (Black Rat Token) anlockt. Normalerweise kümmert sich die Katze drum - aber die ist ja im Ofen... macht nix, der Priest of Forgotten Gods isst Ratten für sein Leben gern, meist sogar zwei auf einmal!
In der Zwischenzeit bringen Midnight Reaper ein paar neue Gewürze vorbei um die Katze auch mal exotischer zuzubereiten.

Als die beiden Schwestern dann endlich auftauchen, wird's erstmal ungemütlich. So wie es in der Küche aussieht...

Ein guter Gra(p)Pa (Grave Pact) als Degistiv schafft dann aber wieder Ordnung in Magen, Küche und auf dem Schlachtfeld. Wem es dann immer noch nicht genügt, der bekommt die Blut-Cocktail-Empfehlung des Hauses (Exquisite Blood) obendrein.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel, der im Mana-Stau stand, kann nur noch essen was übriggeblieben ist.... Moment... die Katze ist ja wieder lebendig ??!! Ab in den Ofen ... ob da der Katzenvater Lurrus of the Dream-Den seine Finger im Spiel hatte?

Deckideen & Mechaniken:

Zentrale Mechanik

• Zentrale Idee ist das Backen der Katze (Cauldron Familiar) im Witch's Oven zu Food-Token um sie danach mit dem frisch gekochten Food wieder zurückzuholen und zu nerven -> Katzen-Ofen-Food-Katzen-Zyklus oder "Katzenjammer" genannt. (Je Katzen-Ofen-Food-Katzen-Zyklus dann der Tausch 2 Mana <-> +4 Lebenspunkte und -1 Lebenspunkte beim Gegner). Genauer:
  Start: Du hast einen Speise-Speil und die Katze liegt im Friedhof
  • Opfere den Speisespielstein im die Katze zurück zu bringen (+1 /-1)
  • Backe die Katze zum Speisespielstein
  • Opfere den Speisespielstein (kostet 2 Mana) und bekomme 3 Leben (Alternativ kann man die Katze auch wieder zurückbringen)

Futter kann auch von den anderen Futter-Quellen kommen (Kochbuch, Confectioner)

• Direkte Kämpfe, nur wenn es sein muss, oder jemand auf den Friedhof soll. Ansonsten mit den Removals Zeit schinden für die Synergien.

Um den "Katzenjammer" zu vergrößern, kommen die anderen Kreaturen und Zauber in Spiel, die jeweils entweder das Sterben/Entern der Katze oder den Lebenspunkteverlust/Gewinn verstärken

Turn 2:

• Blood Artist: verstärkt den Katzenjammer (2 Mana <-> +5 / -2 )
• Priest of Forgotten Gods: Alternativer Weg die Katzen auf den Friedhof zu bringen + 2 Mana für's Futter opfern). Wenn Grave Pact auf dem Feld liegt räumt man damit das Schlachtfeld des Gegners (3 Opfer pro Priest-Ability)

Turn 3:

• Ayara, First of Locthwain: Analog zu Blood Artist - allerdings beim Entern der Katze - und der anderen (Ratten zum Beispiel) + 3 Schwarze Devotions für Gray + Sacrifice/Draw-Option
• Midnight Reaper als Draw-Option (mehr Katzen!!!)
• Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose: Boostet den Katzenjammer so richtig (z.B.: Wenn Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose + Blood Artist auf dem Feld sind, dann ist der Katzenjammer schon +5 / -7) - jetzt tut das Opfern der Food schon weh

Jetzt kommen die bösen Zauber:

Turn 4:

• Grave Pact: Nun tut jedes Priest-Opfer und Katzen-Sterben doppelt weh

Turn 5:

• Equisite Blood: Zusammen mit Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose zur Infinite-Combo und die Katze wird tödlich

Nebendrohungen:

• Gray Merchant of Asphodel als zusätzliche Bedrohung: Kann mit Witch Cottage, Memorial of the Folly und Liliana auch mehrmals entern, nach Opfern oder Kampftod
• Die beiden Lilianas: Wenn man es schafft das Emblem zu bekommen, exhumieren sich die Katze und Gray Merchant of Asphodel selbst + gegnerische Kreaturen

Schwachstellen / Angriffsmarken:

• Exilen der Katzen (Cauldron Familiar)
• Schnelle Attacken (können ggf. mit Food ausgeglichen werden)
• Mana-Mangel um Futter umzuwandeln
