Most creatures have flying so Earthquake, Magmaquake and Molten Disaster don't kill many creatures of your own. There are about 10 Counterspells. In particular, I like Ionize because it only needs one blue mana, the deck can need a lot of blue.

One tasty and easy combo: The Locust God + Skullclamp.
Another combo, not that easy: The Locust God + Goblin Bombardment + Murder of Crows.

Trinket Mage can look mainly for Skullclamp, or Sol Ring (or Everflowing Chalice or Wayfarer's Bauble) in the early game, or Sentinel Totem if graveyards become a problem (Relic of Progenitus is in another deck).
Tribute Mage can look for some Lightning Greaves for protection, Crook of Condemnation f graveyards are bothering you, or mana stones in the early game (Izzet Signet, Though Vessel, Sapphire Medallion, etc).
Muddle the Mixture can be trasmuted for an old fashioned Counterspell, Goblin Bombardment, Magmaquake (or Starstorm), Cyclonic Rift, Curse of the Swine, or any artifact listed in the parragraph above.
There used to be a Dizzy Spell to be transmuted for the Earthquake, By Force, Mystic Remora, Swan Song, or any 1CMC artifact (mainly Skullclamp or Sol Ring). I think it might come back in.

You draw a lot of cards, so Elixir of Immortality is there to avoid milling yourself. It might be replaced for one of the old Eldrazis (probably Kozilek, Butcher of Truth).
