Guts, the Black Swordsman (EDH / Commander)

Quickly ramp mana, and equip Guts (Kamahl) with armor and swords, to make him a powerful voltron commander. Try to get deathtouch on Guts, Caska (Jeska, Warrior Adept), or especially Silat (Kumano, Master Yamabushi) and make use of their pinging attack to do some spot removal. Maximize this effect by utilizing the Illusionist's Bracers and the Thousand-Year Elixer, though Silat's isn't a tap ability, so he's the most ideal candidate. When you summon Godo, have him give Guts the Dragonslayer (Blackblade Reforged), Hammer of Godo (Hammer of Nazahn), Black Swordsman Armor (Darksteel Plate), or the Berserker Armor (Argentum Armor). You can make use of his second attack phase by using the Thousand-Year Elixer or Umbral Mantle on Guts. Hopefully you are also using one or more of the damage doubling cards in this deck. Aggravated Assault and Serpico (Combat Celebrant) can also give you more attack phases. Rickert (Daretti, Scrap Savant) can help you draw cards and dig deep for more equipment and recur equipment in the graveyard. Azan (Archetype of Aggression) can give your team trample, and Isidro (Bloodmark Mentor) can give the team first strike. Skull Knight (Neheb, the Eternal) can help support Guts with combat and taking advantage of his mana ramping by using burn spells on your opponents, hopefully copying those spells for maximum damage. Skull Knight will be one of your most useful allies, being a win condition combined with several other cards in here. Use the Sword of Light and Shadow to recur him if he dies.

Schierke (Koth of the Hammer) can help you ramp up further or summon elementals from the land to attack your enemies, but is currently cut in the deck and held on the sidelines.
