The majority of the deck is cards I've opened from booster packs. I tried to see what other people had and I couldn't find nothing so I've made this deck from the blue and black eldrazis I had left over. Of course I could add better cards like Reality Smasher or even Matter Reshaper but I don't really have money and they don't really fit well with this deck. And yes while it doesn't seem that strong, it still kicks butts and won me a few games at FNM and at my friends kitchen table or coffee table.
I use Kozilek, the Great Distortion and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger for my win conditions for games that are taking forever. Deepfathom Skulker is for my card draw dispite its being a 6 drop 4/4. Its so useful to me and it can be a game-ender if need be. Oblivion Sower is there because, you can't really go wrong with it. I just played a game with him and I got 5 lands from my opponents so not bad if I do say so myself. Sire of Stagnation is to punish those players who didn't draw their lands in time and kept a 2 land or 1 land hand or it can be a beating if they already have a good amount of lands but not a hoard of creatures.
Now that we got those expensive creatures out of the way, lets get to the aggro part of the deck. 4 Salvage Drone for slight card draw and 4 Sludge Crawler for the ability to get bigger during late games. Eldrazi Skyspawner because it was in the deck that won Oath of the Gatewatch Pro Tour. Benthic Infiltrator and Mindmelter because they are both unblockable and either exiles cards from my opponents deck or hand feels real good. Both pairs really nice with Deepfathom Skulker with both out and I get an ridiculous amount of card draw turn 5-8. Dominator Drone because Dominator Drone. Finally creature is Wasteland Strangler is great because I got cards in exile and I'm able to -3/-3 most of the board.
Now the spells. 4 Swarm Surge because if I get my eldrazi army out, I can give them +2/0 and first strike until the end of turn. Languish is there in case they got a token deck filled with too many creatures that can end my day. So Languish should be more of a sideboard card but even though they may not use tokens, there still good 4/4 creatures out there and scare me and its really the only thing I can use. Sure I can buy a different type of boardwipe, but I don't want to buy cards, I just want to use the cards I already have. Slip Through Space is card draw and makes a creature unblockable in which case if I have a Deepfathom out, more cards in my hand.
Here comes my lands 6 Island and 6 Swamp. Simple.
1 Corrupted Crossroads because its mana fixing but it hurts me.
3 Sunken Hollow because I'm in love with blue and black because I'm that guy you don't hate but you can't really have a good time. 4 Unknown shores because it's a less hurtful Corrupted. 2 Evolving Wilds because I hate fetchlands.
That's the basic idea of this deck. Think of it more like a deck that you made and loved at prerelease and you want to make a standard deck out of it, even though it could be one of the worst decks ever or makes no sense at all. That's why the deck is mainly about dealing with okay or surprisingly great cards and tweaking it with eldrazi titans in it just because you have an unusual love for eldrazi cards and the lore. I'll most likely edit this deck to add better cards but I got no money for the cards I want and I use cards I have laying around. That's pretty much it.
