REWORK, THIS TIME WITH A VENGEANCE, Deck has been completely worked and reworked time and time again, and for now- it's starting to pick up steam as a heavier, more attack oriented deck- now it's starting to get more aggressive than meandering and unfocused mess, and now more targeted and narrowed goal- laying the beat-down as fast as possible while also providing enough slowing power to recuperate and fortify an attack force.
CREATURES:
Aegis of the Gods : A two-drop creature that gives me Hexproof, Easily a worthwhile investment, especially against heavy burn or hand-control decks.
Fiendslayer Paladin : A 2/2 firstrike lifelink kind a guy who takes no nonsense from any Red or black spell my opponents throw around.
Fleecemane Lion : A wonderful litter of bloodthirsty, man-eating kitties. These two drops are great, at first a vanilla 3/3 that becomes a 4/4 Hexproof indestructible, easily begging for a response- they're either bait for removal or a powerful threat if left alone.
Heliod, God of the Sun : The vigilance is nice, and the creature creation doesn't hurt, easily a worthwhile investment into the deck.
Karametra, God of Harvests : Just as before with Heliod, she also helps with mana-fixing and ramping, and she has a big booty to boot.
Loxodon Smiter : Deterrence to milling decks, and a powerful 4/4 for a low three drop uncounterable, what's not to love?
Sylvan Caryatid : Hexproof blockers that can tap for mana, why not?
Athreos, God of Passage : Oh man, at first I thought it would be stupid to slap this sucker in here, but with my recent acquisition of Mana Confluence , I decided to throw him in, and he really gets the ball rolling. Field wipe? Cards come back. Hero's Downfall ? Back to hand, and with so many white mana symbols? Easy creature.
Kalonian Hydra : Him plus Ajani, Mentor of Heroes ? Enough said!
Trostani, Voice of Selesnya: Population, beefy defender, 2 devotion to Heliod, God of the Sun , Nylia, God of the Hunt, Kruphix, God of Horizons , and Athreos, God of Passage and a whopping 4 devotion to Karametra, God of Harvests .
PLANESWALKERS:
Elspeth, Sun's Champion : Her inclusion to the deck is as follows: Clears the field if my opponent has fatties, and her +1 bolsters up my army to a near unmatchable numbers. Her last ability is also nice, giving me a number and flight advantage.
Jace, Architect of Thought : His plus one is nice, to a point- cushions the blow of fatties if I can't blow, his -2 helps shift through draws, and his ultimate is just icing on the cake.
Kiora, the Crashing Wave : Easily one of the more interesting walkers to come out, (We don't talk about Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded ) and her Maze of Ith -like ability is just fantastic, her -1 Explore is also great, in case you scried another land, and her -5, if allowed to stay out that long, is a game changer no doubt.
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes : What can I say about Ajani, Mentor of Heroes that hasn't been said before? First +1 is amazing. Second +1 Is amazing. -8 is simply amazing. I love it.
INSTANTS:
Advent of the Wurm : What? Big, beefy 5/5 wurms with trample not good enough for you? What about 5/5 wurms with trample coming out on your opponents turn for four sound?
Azorius Charm : Choose one; cycle, make that blocker/blocker go poof, or have everything you own get lifelink!
Render Silent: Shut that stupid Hannibal up, slap him silly!
Selesnya Charm : Goodbye Desecration Demon , Xenagos, God of Revels , Mogis, God of Slaughter , Master of the Feast , and other things I can't for the life of me remember.
ENCHANTMENTS:Blind Obedience : Stops them dead in their tracks and gives me a way of sustaining life per spell, a lovely little perk to an already great card.
__SIDEBOARD CHANGES___CREATURE(S):
Battlefield Thaumaturge : He's in the sideboard because of a few key cards listed within this sideboard, those being Curse of the Swine , Deicide , Revoke Existence , and Cyclonic Rift , if needed early enough.
INSTANCES:
Cyclonic Rift : A staple card for when you really want to remove every single thing that the enemy has to offer, and sweep for the win. Classic staple.
Deicide : God removal from everything, enchantment removal, two cost, Gonna stay with my other removal in the sideboard, Revoke Existence .
Rootborn Defenses : Populate, Indestructible, save roll against Supreme Verdict , Anger of the Gods , Fated Retribution , and Planar Cleansing .
SOCERIES:
Curse of the Swine : Your board go bye-bye, piggies come play. All for the low price of UU with Battlefield Thaumaturge on the field.
Revoke Existence : Sweet little sorcery that will synergies well with Deicide , covering any artifacts that may be bothersome.
ENCAHNTMENTS:
Detention Sphere : What, can't I just sphere your piggies or Pack Rat without being judged? What are you, rude? So judgmental!
