So I recently played at an FNM with my 80% complete BU Mill, and had a conversation with my opponent first game, who was on lantern control. He mentioned seeing some people playing glimpse the unthinkable alongside surgical extraction/extirpate, in a lantern control shell..
Well, I've been wanting to make a Sultai deck for a long time, and this is what I've been thinking. Please note, I'm not playing tarmogoyf and liliana of the veil because both are crazy expensive. However, I do like liliana the last hope a lot and isn't as bad of a pick up price wise for me.
Anyway, I think this deck could be a real sleeper in the meta, especially when you land a turn 2 glimpse the unthinkable, and surgical extraction whatever key action those top ten cards reveal.
Haven't build a sideboard yet either, but ideas for SB or maindeck tweaks so far are:
Counter magic for control match up
Land hate for tron
Tormod's Crypt for anything graveyard based
Thragtusk / Something to help against fast aggro outside of burn
Would love to hear, and greatly appreciate any ideas from you guys!!
