The main goal of this deck is to get a Training Grounds on the battlefield with a Pack Rat, making your rats come at the instant speed of 1 mana and growing other rats! One backup plan is to utilize Tasigur, the Golden Fang or (very rarely) The Scarab God with Training Grounds on the battlefield as their abilities cost less. Furthermore, the discard from our pack-rats enables us to cast Tasigur, the Golden Fang for very cheap. The backup beatdown plan is to lose life and cast a big Death's Shadow.
Our plenty of early-game discard enables us to quickly figure out what our opponents are doing and play accordingly, as well as disrupt their game-plan while we grow our own board. Fatal Push is great removal, especially with all the fetches. Call to the Netherworld is a piece of synergy with both the Pack Rat for grabbing more cards to make rats with or for grabbing back Street Wraith to draw an extra card as well as grow our Death's Shadow.
