Probably not hyper-competitive but certainly funny to pull off. This is a version of a deck that my cousin and I put together last week. It is a R/G ramp deck that adds a one shot combo. Essentially the base idea is to simply ramp into the big bad creatures in the form of Gigantosaurus, Pheonix, Regisaur and/or Etali and hit the opponent until they die. Y'know, employ the Goku method: hit them really, really hard.. Additionally though, Gravitic Punch and Thud are in the deck to combine with the heavier hitters so you can make them feel like a chump for holding up Settle The Wreckage. It's a fun little combo for those instances.
Sideboard is what it is. Again it's based on the deck we built. I chose Canopy because it covers flyers and enchantments. Blinding Fog is a bad card in a lot of ways but it could possibly save your critters from a Clarion or your Gigantosaurus from a Cast Down.. So it's there. Demanding Dragon is technically in the real deck because Pheonix is expensive and I'm poor, but it's in the side here to increase the flyer count when needed as well as adding more combat free damage/removal. Pack's Favor is in there in case of damage/wither-based removal or to hit harder and Convoke helps it be more useful in many circumstances than many other choices. Of course, sideboards are usually best when they are built in response to a particular meta.
Now, this deck could easily use Carnage Tyrants and Ghaltas in place of Gigantosaurs and Etalis and probably work a lot better. However, it felt more fun to use Etali for the shenanigans it brings once it begins swinging and Gigantosaurs are an easier thing to get out in terms of ramp targets and even the fact it can be yanked out to the field with a Hatchery Spider cast easily. Plus, they're what we had...
