Continuing on my trail of PDH "counters matter" decks of Winding Constrictor, then Conclave Mentor, then Kami of Whispered Hopes, and then Herd Baloth this one I wasn't quite so sold on at first. I wasn't sure if this deck would even have enough interesting cards to be worth making compared to Winding Constrictor. After looking up "+1+1 counters" and immediately finding 83 worthy cards, I immediately knew this was going to be a fun deck. Double any +1/+1 counters on your creatures!

There's a whole 'nother decklist here which uses an aristocrats strategy. Then you can use Scavenge more, to great effect (+10/+10 from Terrus Wurm!).

As a side note, I'm heart-broken to realize that Incubate doesn't work with Corpsejack Menace (a 10/10 token from Converter Beast!). The only upside is that at least it took 5 cards off my overcrowded list.
